The Fire Within

A single flame, struggling through night. Weakening, surrendering, giving up the fight. But a new hope arises, giving strength to the blaze. We have a chance, a small chance, to live another day. Fire grows, consuming the black. Fighting, attacking, driving it back. A whirlwind inferno, killing our fear.
Protecting us, keeping us safe. No need for a tear. Flames lick at the sky, dispelling the clouds. Chasing them away, so our hearts, they won’t shroud. Fire scorches the earth, burning the thorns. The death of all evil, no one will mourn. Surrounded by fire, we shall survive. That little candle inside us, has kept us alive. The love of our friends, was all it required. To grow, and destroy, the evil empire. The flame of one soul, is a strong-willed start.
But not nearly as powerful as the fire of love, that comes from two hearts.
