The rain was gone, but what sounded like thunder, didn't. I waited patiently and frightened in the Headmaster's office. It looked like dusk, but I knew it was around noon time. The door squalled while it opened on its old rusty bolts. I turned around to see the headmaster walk in. His emerald eyes glared at me. He was frowning. I was used to see his happy, cheerful face, but his cold eyes glared at me. It seemed like it his eyes were turning black. He slowly walked over to his desk, neatly stacked papers laid on it, with words and news, mostly about the war.
"Brandon?" He asked. "He stared at me with sharp eyes. "........Yes sir?" I asked him, trying to keep my voice steady.
"As you know, Andrew just died from those needles. Robby said that when he looked out of his door, because he heard him scream nurse, he saw you alone, with poor Andrew bleeding to death."
"Well, I know for a fact, I would never kill the poor boy." I stated tentatively.
"Well then," he started, "what were you doing out in the hall?" I was trapped. If I told him the truth about what I was really doing, of course I would get in trouble. You were not aloud to leave school grounds so early, especially during the war.
"Well, I was going down to ask my good friend Robby, if I could borrow a tie, and some dress shoes," I lied.
"Okay, then I guess you wouldn't mind if I asked Robby that myself," He said. I didn't want to get caught, so I quickly added "Well, I didn't get there yet, so he doesn't even know." I never knew I was such a good liar.
"Okay then, but if any proof comes up, I assure you, JV will be in mind." He gave a uninviting look at me with his coal black eyes. "DISMISSED," he called to me. I got up, and left without a word. The ceromony was about to begin, and I needed a tie. I needed to get to village.
