We are no longer under the bondage of sin. We are under the saving grace of Christ. Before our bodies were dying, when you accepted Christ the old died and the new was born. Some people have fallen back into their old habits and ask if I'm saved why do I still do this? Well have you taken care of and addressed any bondage your still placing yourself in. It starts as a foothold, becomes a handhold, until it becomes a stronghold. Christ can free anyone we just have to give in and give up. I'll be honest Christ saved my from some addictions. I won't say what unless ya'll ask in a Pm but he does it. It took a while mostly because I kept trying to muscle my way through life. Finally I just gave in and obeyed. It felt so good, I felt lighter. Just give in, stop trying to fight and work through it. Rely on God not yourselves. When sin comes a knocking, don't fight it away. Christ does that for us, we need to rely on him. Here's a scripture to close with:
Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself also in the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of your heart
