Well, she's a fragile girl whose parents were killed and she was taken into a rich, royal family but she doesn't know that she was adopted. She thinks that they're her real family, but really they are somewhat protecting her from what is coming after her.
Because she is special and can do certain things that normal humans cannot.
This is sorta what she looks like:
