Like Green Pastures


Take me somewhere where the air is cool

To where the gangs can't run and the law can't rule

Show me a place where the horns don't beep

Where sirens don't ring and the crime don't sweep

Take me the place like the green pastures

Where the sun can shine and the moon shines after

Take me someplace where I can feel ya love and hear laughter

I'm getting tired of this whack life; please take me there faster!



I can't keep living in a world where there's so much pain

Where there's so many obstacles with so little joy 2 gain

I thought the people in the box could keep me sane

I thought the legal system could keep me the same

But it seems the media is the one 2 blame

For makin false idols and their fans go insane

Sharing in their ignorance before they see their own shame

So when I need a fresh of next air

I share it with the one to be my heart's next heir

She keeps the love fresh, she keeps my skies fair

Funny how we see each other as one when someone calls us a
pair

And we'll refuge together and it's no matter where

So when I need a green pasture, she'll always be there



Take me somewhere where the air is cool

Where the life is free and the love can seep

Take me to the place like to the green pastures

Where the sun can shine and the moon shines after

We can set sails like sails to a rafter

To a place you can be queen and I can be your master



I wanna be where the lights don't cloud the skies

And I can compare stars to your beautiful eyes

Where the sun goes down just as bright as it can rise

Where the pain can wither but the joy never dies!

I wanna be somewhere the air is cool

Where the grass is as green as the sky is blue

If we believe we can make it, then lets make it come true
