Today was alright. Not one of the best days ever, but like yesterday a few things here and there made me kind of happy. =]
The first is that we're starting the Odyssey now. =] I know it'll probably be a pain later, but for some reason I'm really looking forward to it now. Also, Mr. Hannon gave us some more writing contests to enter...which I hope to do. I also have to do that one on Japan later too. I thought it was pretty amazing, as Mr. Hannon mentioned, that a Bronx Science student from decades ago memorized the Odyssey without realizing it. He had a photographic memory and he just happened to memorize the book while he read through it. Hah, if someone in the class can recite the whole book by June, they get a 100 for Hannon's class. xD And like 2-5 points for memorizing one of the stories in the book. =D
Anyway, the next highlight of today is that I sort of understand the electron energy sublevels in chemistry. I got it for the most part, but I'm having trouble figuring out how many electrons the sublevels of the 5th principle energy level can hold. =(
Also, Gym was really fun today! ^^ I magically don't suck...that much...at basketball anymore. =] Apparently Mr. Nations and some people think my lay ups are pretty good. =D And we played a game which was pretty fun. ^^ It was me, this short white kid, and that girl (i don't know her name but the skinny one with the curly brown hair) vs. Heidi (i think that was the asian girl's name?), this tlal brown dude, and this tall asian dude (both of the guys were sligthly tubby, not as an insult, just for remembering better =]). I think the score might have been tied or maybe the last shot helped my team win...I forgot. It was funny in the end when the dude caught the ball and he passed it to the girl from my team. xD On purpose, but still it was funny lol.
I hope I do well on the lay up test.
Anyway, that's about it for highlights of the day.
I went home during ninth. I got here around 3:30 and yet I managed to waste 4 hours of my life without doing anything but reading manga and listening to music. xP
Ah well. I'll work harder tomorrow!
