The Last Honor

May 21 Year 1: The 1st Wave, the 1st Memories,

Swish… swish… In my sleep I could hear the leaves blowing in the wind. Then she came up to me, as I lay near a tree.
“Hey! Come on you lazy bum! Wake up!” she yelled.
She kicked my leg. I didn’t answer. She pouted and kicked my leg again. I opened one eye and closed it again.
“Hey! I saw you open your eye!” she yelled again.
Swish… swish… Leaves blowing in the wind again. Finally she gave up bothering me and sat right next to the tree.
I opened my eyes and said “So my unwanted visitor. What do you want?”
“Listen to me first. Is that all right with you?” she asked with a smile.
“Yes, I’ll listen but I’m keeping my eyes closed.
“Yes… It’s okay.” she said back.
She seemed relieved. I stood up and sat next to her, by the tree.
“You know Tyson, you promised you would tell me stories of your travels.” She sighed deeply and said “ I wish I could go on an adventure like you.”
She looked at me and by the looks of it I think I saw a tear.
“Claire…” I said.
Then she got up and said “Oh! I’m sorry Tyson. I bet you think I’m a crybaby! If only… If only my brother had not left to fight the war. Then maybe…”
She burst out crying right when I was about to get up, she ran away. Claire suffered so much. Her dad died during the war with our kingdom, Alexandria and the enemy kingdom, Lombardia . Ever since then she never was the same.

June 21 Year 3 , The 3rd Wave, the third destruction

Well who ever found this journal may have already experienced the 3rd Wave already. If I’m wrong well there might be a chance to stop it, if not at least help fight against it.
You already know me as Tyson by now and there’s Claire. Well I hope she made it. Now I’m sixteen years old and the kingdom of Alexandria isn’t what it used to be.

The rest of the pages are torn. If only I could find out more, I thought to myself.
“Hey, Leo where’s the other journal you found?” I said.
“ The other journal… Let’s see… Umm. Oh!! I remember now that one got lost.”
“Oh, you’re right.” I said feeling sad. “You know Leo there must be more to the Three Waves, I bet if we keep searching for more clues in you know other books.”
“Yeah, you’re right Alice. You know what I found out three days ago. That old Master Lucinda has keep dozens of records of the Three Waves.”
I saw Leo get up from the chair next to me and ran out of the attic. Well I think that probably peeked his interest. It’s has been over forty years since the Three Waves, a lot has changed to the neighboring countries and kingdoms of old. As Tyson was saying the kingdom of Alexandria isn’t was it used to be, really from our point now. There’s more poverty, war debts, and whole bunch of things that a 11 year old doesn’t really understand. Well by the looks of things I hope our kingdom goes back to the way it was in the days when there still was Aldamite users.
I could hear footsteps coming from the stairs near the attic.
“ Hey, I managed to snag some more books. The old lady fell to my trap. When she wasn’t looking I took the books right off the shelves. But of course no one saw me.” Leo said proudly.
“So, you managed to get some books. Let’s see what they are about.”
Leo gave me a thick old dusty book.

“The History of Alexandria: All Three Waves Revealed By: Anne Hutchins. Does this book tell us everything about the causes of the Three Waves. It looks kind of boring but there is some pictures.”
“I took that one Alice, because that book was banned ever since Lord Wayne and his annoying wife took over the new and improved Alexandria Army Base and the Clock tower of Flights.”
