Today I found that irresistible urge to attend the Holy Kids formation in our local parish, which I haven't attended to since early June. It's a weekly gathering for kids ages twelve and below, united by the common goal in wanting to know God more. Of course, being fourteen, I'm not one of them anymore. I'm one of the Holy Youth now, kids thirteen and above, and a counterpart of the Holy Kids.
It didn't seem like I was gone for too long when I saw that everything was still the same, only this one time there was a different group in charge of the kids. I didn't know who they were, but whoever they were, they knew how to handle kids. They even treated the kids to some McDonald's burgers and fruit juices. Now that's something we haven't done in a while.
The whole hour and a half made me realize how much fun I missed during my time away. If only I wasn't so busy with my assignments, I could have been dancing and singing for the glory of God with these kids and teenagers. So I made a promise that I'll never let my school work get in the way of my bonding time with the Lord. God Bless the HFPS Youth Ministry!

The Life and Times of a Longshot
I hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support.
