Surgery went well... sorta.

The 'happy air' was fun. IV not so much. they 'blew' two veins before getting one to work. After the first one, the doc said "that one didn't wanna be part of this" and I said "Great, so I have sentient veins."

I seem to recall hearing "We Don't Need Another Hero" over the radio (two-handed now!) shortly before the don't-remember-anything bit. If I'm not imagining the conversation, it went something like this:

Me: Hey, I know this song...
Nurse: You like music?
Me: Yeah, I like music, I like Tina Turner, I like Mad Max... Beyond Thunderdome...
Nurse: Dr. Tilley's a musician...
Me: Cool, what d'ya play?
Doc: Keyboard and harmonica
Me: Cool. I play piano, pennywhistle, French horn, percussion... only thing I don't play is flute 'cause it makes me dizzy..

Then I think I hummed a bit of WDNAH...

Next thing I know I'm out in the car with an ice pack and I seem to recall something about someone saying I used a lot of big words. I also seem to remember saying something about "Are you sure I didn't mention anything about Kamina or Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann?" and also something about Rock Lee.

I think I also tried to correct somebody's spelling. Someone wanted to spell my name with a "K", but it starts with a "C", darn it!

Also, while coming down from my high, Dad says I was singing "I Am The Walrus", and also talking about my "petite" veins and going off on a tangent about how the "e" makes it feminine.
