my grandmother was telling me a story today.
She was out on a really hot day, my grandfather had gone to mexico to take some stuff to the poor, and suddenly her car got a flat, so she stoped by this antique store and went inside and there were a whole bunch of men there, but not one of them would help her change her tire, so finally she borrows the stores phone and calles this car company that was near the shop and she says, "im out here and i need help changing my tire, can you help me?" and this guy said, "well im really buissy so your going to have to wait for about an hour before i can get down there" so she stayed there for the hour and all the time men were walking in and out and none of them bothered to help her. well this young man came by, and he askes her, "do you need help?" and she said, "well yes but noone will help me change my tire" so he got down on the hot road and changed her tire and when he was finished she said to him, "God bless you! your the only one who would help me!" he said, "i thought you were christian, i think thats why i did it" she said, "well your the real christian, im pretty sure all those men in there go to church but none of them would help me! Thank you so much" and she gave him fifteen dollars and at first he wouldn't take it (but if you know my grandmother, she is very persistant! lol!) and you know what she told me? she said, "its been years since that happend, and to this day i havent forgotten it! you just dont forget things like that, you dont forget the blessings that god gives you" and i dont dought one bit, that when his time comes, and he goes before the lord on jugement day, my grandmother is gonna be there to testify for him, to say that out of all the people there he was merciful enough to help someone in need, and i think thats what its all about, what you do with your time here on this earth, you can be the most popular person in your school, but what is it all good for if you dont care about others? if you dont help a friend or person in need? even your worst enemy? do you have that enemy becaues you've helped them, or becaues you talk behind their back? i just know that when i go up there on judement day, i hope i have lived my life serving gods people and doing for others, that when i get up there, i won't be standing there alone, claming that i helped someone in need, i hope that there will be many people who will stand up with me and testify that i lived my life to the fullest.
