Hello my friends! I've been gone for quite a bit of time so I'm sure people are wondering where I've disappeared off to! Most already know that I went on a week long trip into the wilderness with Danielle. Gosh I'm really surprised that I managed to live through that lol. Anyway the next few parts are simply journal entries of what I did and so on.

Well on the trip up we did nothing but listen to Ipods and watch the movie Penelope on Danielle's portable DVD player. It was really a cute movie and I actually liked it. After arriving at St. Lake Peter we realized that the camp sites were really open. It wasn't too bad with our site because we blocked the view of other campers with the van that held practically a billion things. Well we pitched the tent, blew up air mattresses and put up tarps and etc. The first thing Danielle and I set off to do was bike. We explored the rather small provincial park. So we are at the main office were the entrance to the park is when we headed back my bike suddenly came to a halt. I let out a scream and I thought I just went over some ridiculously big rock so I continued to pedal. Next thing I know I'm about to pull a Richard and go flying off the bike. (lol not really but I did almost fall off the bike) So I look back and not only did the kick stand of the bike fall off the entire back wheel was loose. I couldn't pedal the dumb bike. We were carrying it back and the back wheel actually fell off!! We ended up reaching the comfort station after I switched with Danielle and she had to carry the bike with no back wheel. She did manage to attach the back wheel but forgot to re-attach the kick stand. Now I wheeled the faulty bike back to the site. Ok after that we did go biking again but I got to use Maxwell's bike. Danielle's brother didn't come so thankfully I switched with Danielle's Dad. The bike is good for coasting which means I had to pedal less!~ We got ice cream and had no problems on the way back. Soon I learned a new card game. The game is called Pig. If you want to learn more pm me for details. Though I am still a novice I can simply saw the objective of the game is to estimate how many tricks you can gain with the hand you have. It's lots of fun and I had a excellant hand.

On Sunday we had fun on the beaches. Though Danielle being her normal self hardly wanted to go swimming in the water because it was cold. I disagree that water was fine. After we vegamentated (<----that's no mistake) the camp ground. The scientific term would be vegamentated basically I spelt it right don't bother asking. So basically we were quiet sat around snacking on chips reading good books. It was nice and quiet. Much later when it was evening though still dim outside Danielle wanted to make Jiffy Pop. We bought it from a store called Jug City. Weird name right? I totally agree. Ok quick explanation time. Jiffy Pop is popcorn in a container that can be made over camping stoves. You just hold it above the heat source and shake. It grows in size and you know it's fine if you can hear the kernals popping. Last year when we went camping we forgot to peel all of the cardboard with the label and it caught on fire. lol this year we specifically remembered to peel the entire cardboard part off because it's highly flammable no duh! After another round of Pig we went to bed. It wasn't late because Danielle's parents were tired. Ok at about 11:30 the ranger came and creeped us all out. This is basically what he said, "Young ladies it's nice that you're enjoying your visit but your laughter is carrying across the water. Please be quiet." Throughout the entire time he said that Danielle and I were choking back laughter. Personally that wasn't the creepiest part!! After that we all swore that we heard footsteps and saw flashes of light pointed at the tent. And it wasn't heading to the out house because we didn't hear any slamming noise from the heavy doors of the out house. Yeah rangers stop their rounds at midnight. I don't think any of us actually got sleep... Strange thing that just adds to the pile of weird is that ranger was the one who spoke to us while we bought ice cream and some time later in the week he visited us on the site while we were vegamentating. Coincidence I think NOT! lol this saying has more than one meaning behind it lol

Twas the day thy lovely peace fleed from thy grasp. Seriously this is the truth. Nothing really special about the day we did biking, swimming blah blah blah. The camp site across from us was empty until this day... And unfortunately these people were even louder than us Longest night ever. Luckily for us it only rained during the night when we were supposed to be asleep. Of course I'm awake listening to the people across the small road from us talking about their Yueker game. (That's a card game for those unfamilar) Though I remember us having a hike through the smal forest. Boy the hike was nice but the bugs were irritating. I mean honestly about the amount of bigs made it feel like no one visited. Though the trash cans were full. I feel minor empathy for the person who has to hike up the first time to check if the trail is still noticeable and to empty the trash bins. I mean the first person at the very beginning of the season has to worry about bears waking up from hibernation and black flies the size of fists. Obviously the job isn't worth the pay >__< Then again I could be wrong since I don't know how much they are paid. I was swarmed apparently my blood is sweet. We went to lookout point which was ok and then to Joe's Cabin. Gosh that was a big fixer upper. I mean it was like not even half built. I have no idea what made the guy decide to build his cabin ontop of a hill. I will add a very big hill. Water wasn't even near by so he'd have to go down the hill and then walk up the hill again with the water!! Man even if he was hunter that's a bit much. Ok that's basically how we spent Monday. After hiking we went swimming and ate icecream!!~

Tuesday was the day that Danielle's parents decided to rent out the canoes. They rented it out for 4 hours. Just think about it we didn't even realize how far our camp site was from the beach where the canoes are. It took only an hour to get there and back but my arms were exhausted after the trip. Though it could have been continous rowing for a entire hour. I think I just simply jumped into the water once the beach was in sight. I think we ended up having ice cream again because it was extremely hot outside. Than while I was swimming Danielle found the water even colder than last time because she was sweating I ended up dunking her in lol Later when she didn't go into the water her parents both carried her and threw her in. There was a whole bunch of guys playing Volleyball on the court in the sand. Danielle obviously wanted to join them so I told her to go on right ahead but than she wanted me to join also. She didn't want to go without me but I felt like lounging around. I joked and said if she could stay absolutely silent for 2 minutes than I'd play Volleyball with her. Funny thing is her Dad kept track and it ended up being three and a half minutes sweatdrop It was the quietest moment throughout the entire trip no jokes. So I ended up playing Volleyball with her. Than we went to the camp site. Than we decided to walk back to the beach and while I listened to Anthem Part 2 by Blink 182 Danielle did walkovers and cartwheels for fun. Apparrently it was the best stretch she had in like forever. When we went to sleep apparently the ground was really hard I don't remember I actually fell asleep. Though that was after 'Sam' the girl who was pretending to be a Loon stopped repeating the calls. Not only were there a single bull frog, loons and birds all going at once. Usually the birds were calling in the morning and the bull frogs and Loons at any time of day or night. Well we ended the night with Yeuker!! I learned that game also 3nodding

We went horse back riding and it was alot of fun!! My horse's name was Mac! That's weird because I know a guy named Mac!~ Anyway he was a smart one. He hardly moved because he knew it was close to lunch. So once we were starting onto the trail he almost went to the barn. With my newly aquired knowledge I pulled the reins close to my left knee and we turned onto the trail with a reluctant Mac. Soon when the barn was out of site and out of hearing distance I learnt quickly that Danielle's horse Thunder was keen on stopping for snacks. Mac was the impatient one who quickly wanted to complete the trail to return for lunch and Boomer Danielle's Dad's horse was the most experienced and the most agreeable. Mac often swayed his head not because of buzzing bugs but because he was pulling at the reins so that he could go faster which was virtually impossible. Sean the guide was at the front, than Thunder and Danielle who was stopping for snacks which sadly made Mac want to go fast. Boomer and Danielle's dad were at the back keeping a good distance in between the horses. Going down slopes was hard for me. Leaning back while holding the reins was hard because Mac shook his head and the road was bumpy going down. Thank God I didn't fall off the horse. Later Mac thought because I really loosened the reins after a hill he thought he could go fast. Soon he was going to start into a run. First instinct was to pull back the reins in as fast and tightly as possible. Scariest thing of all just because I wasn't ready for it. I also learned quickly that mac liked his shortcuts so I did run into quite a few branches, trees and debree of all sorts. We were on a trail now that I've remembered I haven't mentioned that. We got into a clearing and took pictures but unfortunately Mac bent over so far to eat grass it was really hard to stop him. He's strong!! I mean he's strong and smart because when I tugged the reins he nudged his head at me as if he were saying, "Give me a break and let me eat." Though we managed to get back and Thunder who was quite slow through most of the trail started to speed up and Danielle almost passed Sean. Mac got pretty reckless too and speeded up. Not by much since we were going at a fast walk and Thunder was right infront of us. But I really thought that it was a exciting experience. Much later in the day we had an early dinner and decided to head to the Algonquian Visitor Centre. After heading to the Provincial Park the girl behind the desk gave us directions. We accidently went to the logging muesuem which was closed. So we kept on driving and found the visitor centre. We watched a short clip about the centre and the seats were so comfortable!! Than we saw a beautiful view from the balcony attached to the theatre. Soon after we went and observed the exhibts. The first one was of the animals in their natural habitat setting. We were guessing which sound was coming from which animal. That had been fun because most of the sounds were unexpected. Some of the exhibits were on the Aboriginals, the modern man. Alot of the visitor centre was half on the animals found in the Algonquian Park and the other was History behind the park. One of the setups was of a quarter of a table set for one with mirrors on both sides making it appear as a table set for four instead of one. Another was once you pressed the start button a light shown on a model of a lady carrying a tin full of batter as she talked about her husband who was important though I've already forgotten why. Though overall the place was extremely cool. I even got to eat some butter tarts. On the way back from the bathroom there is a sign at the front where the entrance is. It's a sign where you can record what wildlife you've seen. A little girl wrote mosquito and it was the funniest thing ever. I gave the father a 'I can't believe you let her write that down' I mentioned that to everyone and later when we were leaving the visitor centre their was a blank space on the board where the little girl wrote mosquito. Anyway that's basically what we saw and heard at the centre. Just as a side note Danielle and I found spare mattresses and stuffed them under the matress we were sleeping on. That really put us on a slant!!

This was the day we got to go white water rafting!! It was exciting. Just as a side note the bus we got onto that was dragging rafts drove us down to where the rafting was going to begin. Wow the bus was really old I personally thought that it wasn't exactly what I would name reliable. We all seperated into groups. Don't worry it was mainly bunches of people being combined with other groups. Danielle and I thougt our guide was really hot xD Though seriously we didn't actually row ourselves. He was in really good shape because everyday he would be rowing these huge rafts. I did have fun though for some reason Danielle wouldn't want to jump into the water... It really wasn't that cold. So once we reached the rest point. Which by the way is for all the guides because they're the ones rowing right. We got to swim into Claudia's rapid. At least that's what I think it's called. Her parents were the owner of the area so often while she was growing up she kayaked and canoed on the spot. I thought it was fun and the water wasn't cold at all. Danielle definately had different views on the temperature of the water when I gave her a hug. Good thing I held onto my glasses while jumping in because I don't want to have to replace them before they need to be replaced. As we were going down the rapids I just so happened to get soaked all the time which wasn't too bad but it was disapointing that Danielle was remaining dry throughout the ride. So when we were slowing down we were allowed to take off all our gear. Things like helmets, heavy duty life jackets and I think that was it. So Danielle's dad dipped his helmet in the water and dumped it on Danielle!! That was really funny! Than I did the same thing to Larissa this 6 year old girl I randomly started talking to. Apparently we started it because then everyone was tossing water at one another with their helmets. Danielle's Dad tried to get Danielle in until he fell in. I even tried to push Danielle in. So this 18 year old teenager from California looked at her dad and he nodded. I was laughing so hard when he tossed Danielle into the water. I just so happened to be struggling so he helped me out lol. She actually grabbed onto the guy's legs while I was slapping at her hands. Than I jumped in. Larissa got in another one who decided to skip out on swimming through rapids. Brandon the 18 year old also jumped in. Larissa's sister got pushed in. I think over half of the people who started in the boat were swimming in the water at the very end. Danielle's mom was like the first one in the water. So basically that's the end because we dragged the rafts onto the platforms and took a bus ride back. There wasn't any poin in wearing out clothes ontop of the bathing suit or simply wearing the bathing suit underneath because I just jumped in with all my clothes on sweatdrop Ok that's my Thursday adventure plus the fact everything seems to be slipping from my mind.

Well this was probably the most uneventful day since we were simply packing, packing things away and taking down tents. Though we did watch Howl's Moving Castle on the portable DVD player. And when we got back Maxwell was mowing the lawn lol. Seems that's normal cleaning up on the last day when parents are getiing back. As we took everything out of the van and layed it out on the grass it was so much STUFF! It was amazing that we packed so much on the way to and from the camp grounds. So there is my camp thing journal lol
