I got home from work about 2 hours ago, and I had to work an hour longer than normal. But it was still awesome because I was on top of my game today and I was literally all over the place when it was just me, Mike, and 2 servers. I had to seat one of our servers four times in a row. @_@ Because the other server had a huge party. So Mike and I had to run around getting their drinks. It was pretty intense.

WE NEED MORE HOSTESSES GRRRR. Once we get some more, I can become a server. Mike said Kiri and I are doing a great job; we just need to work more on stocking the bakery regularly.

I haaaate stocking the bakery. It's so time-consuming. But I'm much faster now than I used to be, since I know where everything is now. And it makes life soooo much easier when the cooks/bakers label the muffins. A few of them look very similar.

The Chocolate muffins are the best because you get to sprinkle powder on top of it. Sweet amazing sugar powder! I usually make a mess.

And on Friday I put the caramel on one of the caramel apple pies. AND I MADE IT PRETTY. ZOMG. I always have the hardest time, but I'm getting much better at it. And I found out that you're supposed to put the caramel in the microwave for a few seconds to warm it up--that makes it muuuuch easier to get out of the packet when you're trying to put it on the pie.

I bought a collection of Orwell's essays yesterday. Once I finish Kiri's copy of Dracula I'll have to start reading it lots.

Yesterday I waited for 40 minutes after work because I was cut early. Business was very, very slow last night. So I sat in a section that none of the servers were waiting on and I talked to one of the cooks more a while and then read my book. Our head cook, Mama, came out and asked me if I wanted a ride because Chris was like, "Geeez, where's your dad?" "He should be here any minute..." "You said that ten minutes ago." "I knoooow." xd

So James called me while I was waiting and we talked for a bit. And once my dad showed up, they talked for a little while, which was very amusing. xd : XD: xd

Drake keeps leaning over and licking my face because he's hungry. AND HE KEEPS RUBBING AGAINST MY KNEE. Dammit, if he keeps doing that, I'm going to reeeeeally need to wash them in order to get his hair and drool off of them before next Sunday. xp

I don't work on Friday or Saturday because I'll be at Prom! Mike is so amazing; Kiri forgot to take off for Prom so she was scheduled to work then, but Mike said she can take off anyway and that'd he'd find someone to take her shift. She won't get penalized or anything either; Mike was like, "You are NOT missing your prom." xd He's totally the best manager ever.

Yaaaay I can't wait for Prom. It'll be fun. And then I won't see many of my senior friends ever again. gonk
