A Higher Power?
There's something thats been bothering me for a while...
Is there really a God? Is there a Heaven or Hell? And what really happens when you die? *I would like to say I'm just voicing MY oppinion, and not trying to force it on anyone.*
The higher power...
I believe there's something out there... some sort of higher power... But I dont believe it's the god thats depicted by the bible. Many of the stories are reeeally unbelievable, and if that stuff really happened, why doesnt anything like that happen nowadays? Did God get bored of humanity and leave? Also, the bible had to be TRANSLATED from another language. The person/people that did it may have changed things around. Whatever the case is, I just don't believe in the God in the bible, but I do believe there is something out there. I have my reasons for believing this. (Certain occurances... Signs... Possible small miracles...) Also, Logic and science can only explain so much. There HAS to be something that we can't explain.
On the topic of heaven or hell...
There's a possibility it's just an endless dream that occurs when you die. Heaven if you have a clear conscience... Hell (or purgatory) if you have a guilty conscience. Or maybe there is just... nothingness. People claim to have 'seen heaven' when they have a near-death experience. In my oppinion, they only DREMPT they saw heaven. Their mind was still active since they lived to tell about it, right?
What happens when you die...
I have no idea what happens, whether there is another place your 'soul' goes to, if there IS such a thing as 'reincarnation', or if everything just... stops.
Some of this might sound emo but they're just questions I have about life. I realize I'm waaay too young to be worrying about what happens when I die, but I guess I just ask these questions because it's something that I'm completely unsure of. But every time I think of this... I always end up telling myself "Hey, dont worry about it. Live your life like a normal person, and when the time actually comes... Well, just pray like hell on your deathbed."
