The New Doctor Who Quotes

Rose: Who are you, then? Who's that lot down there? I said, who are they?
The Doctor: They're made of plastic, living plastic creatures. They're being controlled by a relay device on the roof. Which would be a great big problem if I didn't have this. So, I'm gonna go upstairs and run amuck. And I might well die in the process, but don't worry about me, no. Go on, go and have your lovely beans on toast! Don't tell anyone about this cuz if you do, you'll get them killed.
(He goes through the door and then opens it again.)
The Doctor: I'm the Doctor, by the way. What's your name?
Rose: Rose.
The Doctor: Nice to meet you, Rose. Run for your life!


Mrs. Tyler: Ahem. I'm in my dressing gown.
The Doctor: Yes, you are.
Mrs. Tyler: There's a strange man in my bedroom.
The Doctor: Yes, there is.
Mrs. Tyler: Well, anything could happen.
The Doctor: No


Rose: You can't just go swarmin' off!
The Doctor: Yes, I can. Here I am. This is me, swarmin' off. See you!


Rose: Who are you?
The Doctor: Told you. The Doctor.
Rose: Yes, but Doctor what?
The Doctor: Just the Doctor.
Rose: The Doctor?
The Doctor, waving cheerily: Hello!


The Doctor: Do you know like we were saying, about the earth revolving? It's like when you're a kid, the first time they tell you that the world's turning, and you just can't quite believe it cuz everything looks like it's standing still... I can feel it. The turn of the earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at a thousand miles an hour, and the entire planet is hurtling around the sun at 67000 miles an hour. And I can feel it. We're falling through space, you and me, clinging to the skin of this tiny little world, and if we let go... That's who I am. Now, forget me, Rose Tyler. Go home.


The Doctor: You lot [humans], you spend all your time thinking about dying, like you're gonna get killed by eggs or beef or global warming or asteroids. But you never take time to imagine the impossible, that maybe you survive.


The Doctor: Anyone in there?
Rose: Let me out!
The Doctor: Oh. Well, it would be you.


The Doctor: The thing is Adam, visiting time and space is like visiting France. YOu can't just read the guidebook, you go to throw yourself in there, use the wrong verbs, get picked up by hitch hiking, and end up paying double... Or is that just me?

Editor: Something... is wrong. A tiny little shift in the information... I can taste it.
(later)
Editor: That man [The Doctor] was there when we found Suki McCray. There was not indication about him, but there he is. Clearly acting outside the parameters... Security check, double check, triple check.
(still later)
Computer: Security scan complete.
Editor: We who is he?
Computer: He is no one.
Editor: No one? You mean he has no identification?
Computer: He is no one.
Editor: What about the blonde?
Computer: She is on one.
Editor: Both of them? Well, we all know what happens to none entities... they get promoted.
(Paraphrasing)


(phone ringing, its creepy and late at night)
The Doctor: Whats that all about? Ringing? What am I supposed to do with a ringing phone...
Little Girl: Dont answer it. Its not for you.
The Doctor: And how do you know that?
Little Girl: Because I do. And I am telling you, dont answer it.
The Doctor: Well tell me this. How can it be ringing? Its not even a real phone, its not wired up... not connected... (looks back and little girl is gone. Answers phone) Hello... (silence from the other line) This is the Doctor speaking... How may I help you?
Little boys voice on the other line: Mommy?
The Doctor: Who is this?
Little Boy: Mommy...
The Doctor: How did you ring here this isn't even a real...
Little Boy: Are you my mommy? Mommy...
(The Doctor looks confused and hangs up)
