Ha ha ha, I just thought of something...
It looks like an "elementary school" smile. Like how you smiled as a child when the camera man told you to smile on picture day. But you didn't really know what you were doing. So your mouth just kind of does this big, teethy, awkward 'thing' with itself. And that is considered enough to be a "smile". An " elementary school 'smile' " in actuality. Your mother ended up framing it anyway, though, didn't she? It is hilarity in my eyes. How can you look at this & not want to laugh? I make it pretty hard.
