I think we all can agree that everyone in DeKalb is in a state of shock. The shooting was a true tradgedy, and 6 lives were taken, 5 were brutally murdered, the gunman then taking his life. I went to the memorial over by the fountain near the Kings Commons, and as I put a pom pom there, and re lit candles, people snapped photos for newspapers. A TV reporter from WGN channel 9 came up and asked for an interview. And before that, I was at Lutheran Campus Ministries, and we had a little candlelight vigil, and when we all sang Amazing Grace, I broke down, and started to bawl, and then everyone with a camera seemed to snap a picture of me, just because I was crying. And after, everyone wanted my name and age. Please, pray for the victims, their families and friends, and for anyone who is affected in mind, body or soul from this TERRIBLE tradgedy.
