"Will you wander the wilds untamed/ Will you plunder the worlds unnamed"
"Can the sky slip into darkness, With the sun at its highest; Out of respect for Your Highness, 'Ever plagued by raging tempest?"
Sometimes, just on the verge of sleep, I find myself being tossed into a world of color. Names are present, if allusive, as are the fragrant aromas of certain possibilities. Ideas, for one thing, as if my mind speaks clearest during the late hours of the night and into the early morning. There's a vibrancy about all of it, these dreams and thoughts, that take on a peculiar kaleidoscope velocity. There's no singular picture, simply a myriad of shredded wisps of paper, all as illusive and suggestive as the next. I wonder, after waking and if the dream is still with me, whether or not those pictures are a calling... or simply the effects of having an overactive imagination. I am in no way religious or even what one might call an aethist; but when my mind, my person and my private self, projects unto my half-slumbering conscience a world unlike anything in the reality of here and now, would I be silly to think that perhaps there's a realm of possibilities - for me and only me - in these spectral fantasies? Surely, with all my heart, I hope that I might one day draw a conclusion from all this. I am, also, one hundred percent, trusting that I am not the only one to experience such a whirlwind, delightful dilemma.
After all, how many out there aspire to be artists? Or writers? Or musicians? Or performers? So many. That of, I'm sure. Perhaps these many individuals can relate to what I've attempted to jot down at this random hour.

Red; "Caerdin", pronounced CARE-den ; Cardigan or Cardinal? ; female ; young, perhaps 18-20 years in appearance ; looked upon as a 'lost soul' ; fell in love once upon a time ; believes lover to be dead ; did not know his true identity as an immortal being ; the cousin of the ruler of the Unconscious land.
Another world, parallel yet not, a part of yet unjoined ; the unconscious world versus the conscious one ; a world of magic, myths and spiritual entities ; untouchable and yet within reach of those that earnestly seek it ; found most often in the dreams of innocents, children, adolescents and young adults ; contains creatures of imagination, creatures of myths, beings of power and spiritual essence, those claimed as Gods among mortal men, dark and light beings, elementals ;
Cats ; tigers rule ; chain of command ; domesticated felines are the most common sign of a 'doorway' or 'entry' into the Unconscious world - the land of wonder and frightful elements ; cats were respected by the Egyptians for their role as Doormen, or Gatekeepers ; however, since other creatures cannot stand felines, they were given a role to keep them from entering the Unconscious ; larger felines, however, secretly frequent the Unconscious via a should-be-called "underground" through friendlier persons/creatures.
Goblins ; "every creature here has magic, except for Goblins," ; goblinkind do not possess magic because they are the ones that can bend and break and stop magic on a whim ; they only care for their troves and lairs ; they are called "charmers" occasionally for their ability to resist magic ; it is in their hands, eyes and tongues - the unmagic traces ; they're part of the core, one of the ancient races that came to be in the Unconscious ; they are greedy, but not dishonest since they have more honor and pride than perhaps most anything/one else - besides dragons and unicorns... they are tricky, yet powerful for all that they are magic-less ; they can work the materials of the elements, such as transforming rainwater into crystals or working earth into a metal that cannot be melted down or broken ; there are three types of goblins, but there is no sense of superiority among them ; they are mostly abhorred among the Unconscious creatures that consider themselves above the magic-less goblins ; the wiser beings know better, and know to respect those that can tear their power out of their very body...
Unicorns are treasured, revered creatures...
Centaurs are among the oldest of races, yet because they are so closely related to the mortals of the Conscious land, they were once exiled from the lands until the day the eldest of creatures - a unicorn, a dragon, a nymph, a deity of light and a deity of darkness - came to them and restored their freedom and lands to them...
