It had been a year since my father had died. My mother couldn't stand to live in that little town...where they had met, fallen in love, gotten married, and started a life together. So she decided we were going to live in a small town in Alabama. I hated this but i couldn't see my mother that depressed.
My first day at school was like going to a redneck convention. I made no friends, but i did think it was interesting. I saw two sophmores trying to scare the teachers by busting up chalk and pretending it was drugs. All the teachers did was hit them on the head and tell them not to snuff chalk.
**********In Science Class**********
I walked into class late and mr.bird told me to take a seat next to a girl with freckles, silky, black hair that touched her shoulders, Her eyes were a brilliant green. She was wearing stylish blue jeans with a miniskirt over it , a tank top and a short blue jean jacket. She was one of the ones that was NOT dressed like a redneck.
The girl leaned over toward me why the teacher was talking and whispered, "Hi im Kinnedy. I noticed you were new and i was wondering if you want to come sit with me and my friends today?"
I quickly responded in a whisper "Ofcourse i would. So far your the only one that has talked to me."
She nodded and then the teacher called on her asking a question about the song 'ring around the rosie'.The question had something to do with the bubonic pleague.
At lunch i sat next to Kinnedy and four other girls. One was chubbier than the rest.Her hair was dark brown,she had on a black shirt with a small green fairy on it,dark blue jeans and her hair was tied back in a low ponytail. The other one was skinnier and had shoulder length black hair that was more wavy, she also had on blue jeans but they were torn at the knees.Her shirt was black. She had a wristband on each wrist. She was the one i could relate to the most so far. Another one had medium auburn hair that was silky like kinnedy's but it was tied back in a high ponytail. She and kinnedy looked almost exactly alike except she was wearing an orange hollister shirt and her eyes were hazel.
The last had brown reddish tinted hair and green eyes. She was wearing a bobby jack jacket making it unable to see her shirt. She had blue jeans on also.
The one with reddish hair spoke first. "OH MY GOD YOUR HAIR LOOKS LIKE A BOYS HAIR!" She was pointing straight at my extremely short red hair. I glared at her and kinnedy laughed "shes just weird this is dedra. Dedra, Kat. Kat, Dedra.
