:O omg!!! I've never posted this poem in my journal yet!!! It's one of my favorites!!
Maddi sent me a message and she was talking about gold and silver, and it reminded me of this poem biggrin It's called...

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Natures first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold
Her early leaf's a flower
But only so an hour
Then leaf subsides to leaf
So Eden sank to grief
So dawn goes down today
Nothing gold can stay

It's from a book I read called The Outsiders. It's a really good book. I forget who the poem is by though
