Our young cat demon has just entered Gaia. At first the multitudes of poeple leave her anxious and off balance but soon she regains her composure. Looking around she notices that some of the Gaians have strange looking eyes filled with bloodlust, uncoomon for the race. Moreover, the ones with normal eyes seem to be avoiding even glaring at the those with unnatural eyes. Worried she grabs the shoulder of a nearby Gaian.
"Excuse me, sir. Can you tell me what is going on here? Why are some of the Gaians weird looking?"
The Gaian turns around and she notices that while his eyes don't look exactly like he others they do have an unnatural bloodlust. He observes her for a moment.
"You must be new. Right now the Gaians are undergoing a competiton, well officially it is called that. A master vampire is battling some of the original naives to Gaia. The Gaians are given the choice to join his side and become vampires or oppose him and fight those who have taken his side."
Our young cat demon thinks on this. Surprised that Gaians would activelyfight each other has left her a little stunned. The Gaia man continues to watch her, the bloodlust growing in his eyes.
"May I ask your name?"
Surprised, she looks up. Realizing her rude manners she quickly answers him.
"My name is Lavender." (this is a temporary name. suggestions are accepted.) "I am from a cat demon tribe from one of the neighboring worlds of Gaia. So, yes I am new to here. I thank you for your help. Not to be rude but I would like to explore more of Gaia. Thaks again and goodbye."
She turns to leave but he stops her.
My name is *. It's rude of you to just leave without letting me give your name. However, I'm not big on formality so I won't take it personally. But since you are new, I think I'll give you a gift."
He holds onto her arm firmly, moving his face closer to her neck. He opens his mouth and fangs are revealed. Too late, she realizes he is a genuine vampire. He sinks his fangs in and Lavender feels a shocking pain then a strange sensation moves through her body.
"Welcome to Gaia, Lavender."
She sinks to the ground, hand on her neck, and passes out.
