Chapter 10
The sun blazed intensly overhead as Olivia awoke. She opened her eyes to see a gigantic tree above her, it's gentle green and orange leaves floating down from it's home above. She sat up to see a coat and blanket on top of her, Charmander sleeping peacefully next to her, and on the other side were some daffodills. who gave me flowers? she thought as she wrapped herself up in the blanket and coat. For some reason, she was inexplicably cold. Her lungs seemed to tighten with each breath she took. She looked out over the horizon to see Kuro coming back with some wood. Olivia waved at him, "Good morning!" she called out. He smiled brightly, but for some reason, afterwards, his face seemed to grow into a concerned, worried look that seemed to grow more worried with every passing step. She stood up and followed him, "Somethin' up?" He shook his head and continued on to place the wood down into a campfire set-up. He motioned Charmander over and whispered to him to use Ember to start the fire. after he got the fire going, he placed a pot over it, poured some water into it and took out a can of tomato soup and a swiss army knife. "You need to get your strength back up, you were out cold for so long." Kuro told her as he opened the can. Olivia's head bobbed into a confused look, "Why do I need to get my strength back up?" Kuro, still focusing on other things, simpily said, "You came down with something during our trip to Mt. Moon, I got you out just in time." Olivia thought back, she didn't remember getting sick at any point during the Mt. Moon expedition. All she could remember was darkness...desolate and total darkness. She shivered slightly and wrapped the blanket around her tighter. "It'll take a little bit to cook," Kuro said as he poured the can in, "why don't you go lie down? You look a bit cold and a bit tired." Olivia, still uncertain as to why her friend was acting so strange, simpily nodded and walked back to the tree to lie down. Kuro looked up, a feeling of fear welled up inside of him. What if everything Giratina said was true? What if I do accept the power and become crazy evil? What would happen to Olivia? My Pokemon too. An image of Olivia and the Pokemon surroudend by fire and ruin gathered into his mind. Blood was everywhere and he could see the deep wounds all over them. The Olivia in the vision looked up with her last bit of strength and worded out to Kuro, "...Why?" then fell to the ground, lifeless and unmoving. He shook his head, it woulnd't happen! Not now, not ever! He pulled the soup off the fire, stirred it a little, then brought it over to Olivia. She sat up and smiled, Kuro handed her a spoon. She threw the spoon away and began to slurp down the soup straight from the bowl. Kuro smiled, What a pig... He stood up, "Hey Liv," Olivia looked up from her bowl, "What do you say to us....you know, going our seperate ways?" Oliva stared at him for a minute, felt his forhead for a fever, then slapped him across the face. "Ain't gonna happen today, tommarow, or any other day, you understand? We decided to travel together, you're not dumpin' me off that easily. You're stuck with me, no matter what," She turned to him, her eyes glowing with a certain anger and determination, "Got it?" Kuro smiled, and not just any kind of smile, a smile that stretched from ear to ear. He nodded, "Got it." He stood up, and climbed the tree, to sit on it's top branch. Thanks Olivia, He thought as he sat above her, watching her devour bowl after bowl. I needed to hear that He yelled, "Seems you got your pig-like appetite back!" Olivia threw a rock at his head and knocked him clean out of the tree. "You a**-tard..." He murmured as he began to get up. Another rock smashed him in the head, and he fell to the ground.
The next morning, Olivia was the first to rise. she yawned, stretched a bit, then screamed, "WAKE UP!!!!!" Kuro jumped up and scurried up the tree in a frienzied sense of fear. "We're headin' out today!" She declared, pointing twoards the north, "To Cerulean City!" Kuro sighed, "That's in the other direction....You do know that right?" Olivia jumped around in the other direction and pointed. Kuro laughed at her enthusiam and nodded. They walked for a good two hours on their way to Cerulean City. Pidgey, Taillow, and Starly flew overhead in migrational patterns. The sun dotted behind clouds, some looking menacing and mean, others with a certain fluffy kindness. After two hous, they finally arrived in Cerulean City, the City of water. "We're finally here!" Kuro yelled as she jumped about. Olivia took out her map, "To the north is the Nugget Bridge, to the west we have..." AWW WHO CARES!?!?!? TO THE NUGGET BRIDGE!!!!! Kuro declared as he grabbed Olivia by the arm and dragged her off at full pace. She dropped the map as he pulled her away.
