I am, if I say so myself, someone who is worried about appointments he makes.
If I tell someone I will meet them, I do.
If I cannot, I tend to let them know on beforehand. Preferably a week, allowing the other person to take note and set up meetings with other people.
That kind of sounds like what normal people do, doesn't it?
Sadly enough, my luck is not so that I meet other normal people on the daily.
Seeing as how my exams ended on thursday, I was hoping to meet some people on Friday for general gaming and fun. I had gotten three people to hang with.
The first wanted to play some chess with me, the second wanted to learn to play magic and the third would teach me how to play poker. I mean, that would have made for an ok day, in my book. Too bad faith is never on my side...
Person 1: On msn, I receive a message where she gives me the perfectly acceptable excuse (reschedualed resits) that happen on saturday. It is indeed not that smart to go hang in Outpost when you have an exam the next day, so I thank her for telling me in time and we agree to meet at some point once her exams are finished.
Person 3: Manages to tell me halfway through the week that there's a trip to the sea planned. Apparently this is the only time they can go there. rolleyes Brilliant. See, thinking these things through before actually telling people they can come over and then having to cancel that appointment makes said people think you actually have brains.
Person 2: Doesn't manage at all to inform me of her boyfriend having a day off. I actually have to text her in order to find out she's not coming.
That's right.
I have to SPEND money on a text-message because the b***h doesn't bother sending a simple mail telling me she's not going to make it.
I mean, it's not like days off just 'happen' out of the blue, is it? It's not like he wakes up and a magical pink ******** unicorn appears above his bed carrying a note stating his freedom for the day.
Needless to say, an unhappy camper is me. The first text-message is still kind of acceptable-ish, but it doesn't mean I even consider it worth the time it took me to read it.

Can't we meet up on a different day? Stewie's got the day off today. :s
To which I respond that telling me earlier would have been nice, since I am at the Outpost already. (I mean, how much of a d**k can a girl be? I cycle all the way to Antwerp to meet ONE person from the three I originally had hoped to hang with and she cancels after telling me on monday that "She'll totally be there on friday"? *sigh* Womankind, you disappoint me to unknown frontiers. Yet again.) To which her reply:
Moondroplet
Sorry-but now you can go there again, with a good excuse razz When do you want to meet up? Tuesday? What time?
...
Yeah, that's not going to happen.
And to top things off, my bicycle was stolen while I was out there. WTF? The thing was like 32 years old, locked and rusty. Why steal it? *sigh*
So, if I seem annoyed throughout the weeks to come, it probably has to do with this.
Of course, I do not let a bunch of egocentrical bitches ruin my actual fun, so I had a blast out there with the L5R people. I mean, entertaining myself isn't that hard in a store where I know basically everyone. The stolen bike was just crappy though.
What's up with that anyway? Why steal bikes? They're not worth nearly as much as, say, cars and the people who use them tend to actually NEED the bikes to get to places since they do not own other means of transportation besides walking (btw, Outpost to my house = 2 hours walking. Two. Hours. If you discover your bike was stolen around midnight, that's not good if you have to get up at 8 the same day.) or hitching a ride.
So, to everyone who made my friday a lot less cool than it could have been: If you need me one of these days, I have a strong feeling I will be 'busy' due to 'sudden days off' or something.

Sorta ironic, this whole scene. XD
But I feel with ya dude. My bike was never stolen but it is rusty and gross. :D
And at least you had a blast while carding. So it is not that bad.
So when you come to Berlin, you want me to call off when you arrive in Berlin? 8D
