wahmbulance NERD ALERT wahmbulance
Ok, so the story of flash. I got it when the latest version was flash MX 2004. a year or two later flash 8 came out. Wow. I was amazed and excited to see all the changes, the filters on movie clips and text effects, bitmaps were easier to mess with, it looked cooler.
Then a year or so after THAT, Adobe brought out Flash CS3. I was quite sad the other night when I found out. There were no announcements, no fan fair, I found out quite by mistake. But it also meant I was using an obsolete version. I was with it from the start, I guess Im there to put it in the ground as well. Another difference I noticed straight off. Wheres all the affiliation with Macromedia? I know its a part of Adobe, but Adobe doesnt have good conotations in my mind.
ActionScript 3, ahh, the new bane of my existance other than woman. I found out im a noob at scripting again. I cant even make a play button anymore. lol
I found a tutorial, dont worry, Im ok now. But having to learn the new language is gonna be a pain, Hopefully its worth it. The animation side has changed much at all. I havent used the paint brush tool much yet. But im about to with this new Cartoon im working on, Ill probably post it here when Im done.
But other than all of the above, I cant see much new stuff on Flash 9. Other than this mysterious "Copy/paste motion" business. *shrugs*
Perhaps Im getting old. But I promise I will stick by you flash, through thick and thin, till I start my affair with Illustrator...
If your not a nerd and you could be bothered reading all that, kudos to you. Im proud of you.
