Elven Love

Chapter One~



Lasandria walked down the forest path, looking at the nature around her. She walked in front of a cottage, she was tired and she needed a place to stay since it just started sprinkling. She knocked on the door. A man that looked her age with long, blue-ish black hair opened the door , he seemed to notice that she had the ears of an elf. Lysandria realized that the man that opened the door have elven ears too. “Can I help you?” The elven man offered kindly.
“Oh yes, I have been traveling and I have no home to stay in, if you would, could you let me stay until the rain stops?” Lysandra asked, trying to mind her manors. The elven man replied after thinking about it. “Sure, sure, I would love to have some company, come on in.” He opened the door wider. Lysandria was revealed to a wonderful little neat house. She walked in “Thank you” She faced the man and bowed. The man blushed, now that he saw her up close, he thought she was beautiful. “This is a wonderful home you have” Lysandra complimented. “T-thank you” He stuttered “Oh and might I have your name?” He asked her. “My name is Lysandria, and yours?” She asked “I am Kai” Kai replied and held out a hand for her to shake it. “Nice to meat you, Lysandria” Lysandria shook the hand. “Nice to meet you too, Kai” She replied.
“Are you hungry? I was about to make dinner” Kai offered.
“Yeah”
“I’ll get it started then”
Lysandra looked around more, “Its lovely that I have a place to stay” She thought to herself “And he’s so cute too” She thought aloud, not knowing that she said that. She immediately covered her mouth. “What was that?” Kai asked.
“Oh nothing, nothing…” Her face turned bright red with embarrassment “So,” Lysandria walked up to Kai “Whets for dinner?” She asked, looking over his shoulder. “Vegetable stew” He answered
“Yum” It was good because Lysandra was a vegetarian.
“Dinner’s ready!” Kai exclaimed, it smelled so good. Kai took the pot off of the stove and put it into two bowls and set them on the wood table. “Awesome!” Lysandra said and sat down at the table. “So, Lysandria, where are you traveling to?” He asked and they both began to eat. “Well, I’m not really traveling, I’m kind of…escaping”
“From where?”
“My kingdom”
“Kingdom?”
“Yeah, my father is the king of Jahovia and I’m the princess” Lysandria explained. She took a bite of the stew. “Wow this is good!” She exclaimed. “You’re a princess?” Kai dropped his spoon on the table in shock that there was a princess in his midst.
“Yeah, I am Lysandria, Princess of Jahovia” Lysandria explained with her mouth full “I just don’t want to be the princess anymore.” She continued. “No wonder I’ve heard that name before” Kai noted. There was a knock on the door “Coming” Kai stood up and answered the door, There were two knights at his door. “Can I help you?” He asked. “Yeah, We are looking for Princess Lysandria” Lysandria gasped and quickly hid herself in the corner. Kai realized that Lysandria did not want to go back. “Umm, She is not here” He answered the tall man in armor. “Okay, then, but if you see her, tell us at the kingdom” The man said and walked away. He closed the door, Lysandria came out of hiding. “They are looking for me?” She was shocked. “I guess so” Kai replied. “Okay, I guess I have no choice, now that they know I’m not here, I don’t think I can travel anymore!” Lysandria explained. “So,” She continued “I think I might have to stay here until they give up on finding me.”
Kai’s eyes lit up. Lysandria continued with her dinner. “Okay” Kai replied. He put his dish in the sink and began washing it. “I will go set up your bed”
“Really?! You’ll let me stay?!”
“Of course” Kai smiled. He went into the other room. Lysandria got up and put her dish in the sink then followed Kai to the room, he flicked on the lights. There was a bed that could fit two people. “Do you want to sleep on the floor or the bed?” Kai asked, taking out blankets from the closet. “I’ll sleep on the bed, I’m not used to sleeping on the floor.” Lysandria said.
“Okay”
“Well,” Lysandria started, “This is my thanks for letting me live here” And with that she went over to him and kissed him lightly on the cheek, she blushed, so did Kai. “Y-You’re welcome” Kai stuttered. At that exact moment Kai knew that Lysandria was the woman he was searching for all those years. It was the same in Lysandria’s mind. That night Lysandria had a nightmare, it was about the kingdom finding her and taking her back to the palace, making her leave Kai. She woke in the middle of the night, screaming. Kai immediately open the lights. “Lysandria, are you okay?” Kai went and sat next to her. “Umm, Kai?”
“Yes?”
“Can you sleep next to me tonight?” Lysandria asked with a cracked voice.
“S-sure” Kai replied. They went to sleep now, Lysandria felt safer with Kai next to her, she leaned on him, thinking he was her pillow. Kai eyes opened and looked at Lysandria, he went back to sleep again. In the morning Kai and Lysandria woke at the same time. “Oh, good morning, Kai”
“Good morning, Lysandria”
“Please, call me Sandria, Lysandria is too long” She joked.
“Okay” They got out of bed and went downstairs. It was cold in the morning
so Kai started a fire. It warmed up the house a lot. For breakfast Lysandria and Kai had eggs and bread. After that they got dressed and went out for a morning walk. “Wow, this place is beautiful in the morning” Sandria exclaimed as she heard the birds singing. It happened to be cold all day so they stayed in most of the time. At night Kai slept in Sandria’s bed again. Lysandria liked sleeping next to Kai, it made her feel protected. She didn’t have nightmares that night. The next day in the morning there was a white blanket covering the world. “Wow” Was the only thing Sandria could say when she saw it. “Its beautiful, isn’t it” Kai whispered. “Just like you” And he kissed her on the forehead. Lysandria blushed. After a month they made it official. They became a couple, and Lysandra thought that the kingdom gave up on her, but she was wrong. One day there was a knock on the door and she answered it. It was a different two knights from the kingdom.
Lysandria gasped.
“Princess Lysandria?” The two knights gasped.
Lysandria’s worst nightmare had come true.
