Quote: Hello Qixter
As much as I'd like to use a more formal name I suppose admins and producers like you all are like superheroes who hide behind an alias.
But anyways I'd like to thank you for bringing the true pioneering spirit of gaming to gaia. I was getting a bit uneasy about the battle system because what if it became another boring click and attack with sword MMO.
I've been a follower of the game industry for quite some time and hope to become a game designer who's as much of a household name as Peter molyneux and Shigeru Miyamoto (watch out for the name Kyle Lamb I'll be big XD).
But what your team created using rings is what makes games really great by breaking molds. It embraces the avatar system allowing us to use whatever abilities that we want while still looking fashionable.
Everyone againt the idea just don't realize that what makes a great game isn't making a clone of another system it's doing something thats completely new and sure it's a risk at times but it's one thats taken by people who truly have creativity.
Keep up the good work and ILU
Thanks for the good words, Kyle. We're aiming to make a uniquely-Gaian MMO. It will have some of the traits you've seen in other MMOs, but there's a lot in here that I've never seen before in another MMO, so we hope to have a few surprises up our sleeves for you.
Good luck on your design career. I've been Producing/Directing games for almost 20 years now and I wouldn't trade any of it (even the *crappy* games) for a job at a regular corporation.
Best of luck.
