Prologue: A Death Dealer

I’ve been a loyal soldier of the vampiric race for over six centuries. Ever since the elder of our clan took me from my loving life in England, and turned me into a blood craving Death Dealer. Never able to stand in sunlight again, I’m forced to walk the shadows of the night. My name is Viktor. And, I am a vampire.

Chapter 1 ~ New Tricks of an Old Enemy

The sounds of the gunshots echoed throughout the mountains. Men, screaming in pain of the bullets forcing their way through their bodies. One by one, thousands of Lycan warriors fell to my feet. All of my allies were lying on the ground with them, most of their face were gone on the account that the Lycan’s ate them. I was drenched in blood, most of it wasn’t mine. I look across the battlefield to the end of the horizon-- bodies. Laying on the ground, not moving. Only rotting in time. I was the last survivor, with only a few claw slashes on my body. It seems that I’m incapable of dying. I threw my guns on the dirt ground, and took a deep breath of the air. Taking in all that has just happened. Though all was calm, my breath was short. As I watched the many corpses enter the afterlife, the sun peeked over the mountains. It was my time to retreat to the darkness before the sun disintegrates my body.

I arrived at my clan’s mansion. Darkness surrounded it to hide from the outside world. I entered the two large wooden front doors. It had some strange swirls and designs on it that I never really cared to acknowledge. The front room was darkened with only a few whitish-silver pictures and the floor tiles. Other vampires were, elegantly, lounging on the furniture. They stared at me as I walked passed them and entered into the center hall which leads into Craven’s office, the leader of the vampire clan. I, forcefully, pushed the doors open, and the hinges popped off making the door fly across the room.

Craven stood up, and glanced at the flying door, “Viktor!” He shouted at me, “what is the meaning of this?!” I walked up to his desk with an irritated expression upon my face, “have you finished your job?”

“Yes,” I replied, “with no help of you,”

“I sent you other men to aid you,” he said with strong British accent,

“You know, fully well, that they were not enough to face those Lycan’s!” I shouted, trying to match my accent with his. Craven walked over to the window, and watched the rain drip upon it, “and the only reason why I was able to stay alive was because, they just changed and were inexperienced,”

“I fully understand, Viktor”

“Do you?” I asked, “Did you know that each any everyone of your vampire warriors died out there?” I moved closer to Carven, and paused for a moment, “did you know that could put us in a serious disadvantage with the Lycan’s?!”

Craven quickly turned to me, “I understand, Viktor!” He nodded his head, “you’re right. But, we still have warriors, and they will make more.” I exhaled a frustrated sigh. I had the utmost desire to rip his bottom jaw out of his head. But, I had stronger self-control than that.

“That’s not that point, Craven. I told you that going into Lycan territory is foolish! And, though it wasn’t all of our warriors, we lost a vast amount,”

“It doesn’t matter,” he said calmly with a smirk, “the Lycan’s lost a good amount of warriors, as well.” I suspected something of Craven. Like, that battle was a set-up.

“What was your idea of that attack?” I asked, slightly squinting my coal-black eyes.

“A lesson,” he looked back out the rain-sheeted window.

“What?”

“A lesson to teach us all,” he turned to me again, and moved closer, “it was to teach us if they had learned any new tricks. I sent advisors out there to study them,” my eyes grew infuriated but stayed the same size.

“You know that I'm the only survivor,”

“Well, then, I suppose you studied their moves. I know that is your fighting strategy,”

I shook my head a bit, “Go to hell, Craven,” I walked quickly out of Craven’s office, while leaving a rather large hole in the wall. Craven smirked at the assault to his wall, and moved behind his desk to sign some paper work. Mostly to assign vampires to recruit more people into their dark world.

I can't help but look for typos in stories, when I read them. =D

"Taking in all that as<- just happened" Why is AS in that sentence? Is it supposed to be there? .__. Am I just not capable of understanding it?

Uh, and when you're talking about the door, and the design on it, you put 'CARE' is it not suppose to be 'CARED'? Would it not sound better with 'CARED'? .__.

Other then that...I didn't see any more typos, and I loved the story. =D I shall sit here, staring at your journal until chapter 2 is posted.

Hurry, I might go blind...wait...and then I'll just blame you.
