Self hatred like autoimmune,
Where is the end of God’s sick tune?
Here I lie another night,
A body filled full of fright,
Alone in dear; alone in sight.
But alone in ear, I am never,
For you shall always stand ever;
My sickly twin of rapture no end.
Sickly little friend,
Matched with you until wreckage,
Snap of mental breakage.
Tied forever as knots;
Of abdominal scar and mental tar.
If not a feather,
Our social shame a tether.
Locked together in dermis cast,
Oh joy what a blast.
Sickness like autoimmune,
Mouth dry of dune,
May misery drift us apart soon.

Description:
The struggles with autoimmune disease cause suffering beyond the disease. Primarily depression, and anger, as many autoimmune diseases are incurable and the treatments are incredibly expensive.
I believe this accurately paints my own suffering, and might apply to others. - Date: 05/31/2020

- I have IBS-D and it takes a lot out on your body, but also on your mind. Depression, Frustration, Anger, and Stress. Blaming myself for missing events or skipping out cause of being worried that I'd ruin things by getting sick. Feeling like I'm a burden on my family and like I'm letting everyone down. My fiance is type 1 Diabetic and we both support each other and it really helps to have someone who understands. Thanks to my doctors, family, friends, and my fiance I have more good days then bad.
