• Description: This is a poem I wrote to honor the memory of my late cat Lucy.
  She was 14 when she was euthanized.
  She was my favorite cat of all.

soft on your lap,

purrs when content,

playful,

sleepy,

loyal,

life,

love,

a symbol of forever bond,

my cat Lucy your presence made it all the while when you were with me,
coming while i cried, when i was sick, you were there till your last days on the earth,
O lucy my lucy I miss you so much with your fur so soft and attitude so loving,
I need you!
With your paw on my hand I say good-bye my friend no my sister and pet
I leave the vets with tears down my face
knowing we will meet again someday
but not now
To you My friend i bid you Farewell!


Up in heaven you are watching us
waiting for our time
until then keep us happy and free
