A formidable female,
This eight-legged cougar
Of scimitar claws.
Her body wrapped
Yellow-Black
Like crime-scene tape.
She hangs suspended
On her woven web
At once her castle
And her tangle-trap.
Within her shudder-sweet
Gossamer halls
She keeps her harem
And her pantry.
