" Star" As I lay in complete solitude I wait for the constellations to appear It was dusk,now it's midnight But I fail to see any stars I look from near,then from afar Yet no luck in my search I remain alone with no company I open my window I settle down on my sill,in hopes of flying I suppose I stare while in my childish fantasy Atlast my joy ,I have found you My star has appeared before me I rejoice,I laugh, I tear I gaze at it for what seems like forever Even though it isn't falling,I make a wish I go back inside,never leaving eye-contact Once more I lay down,staring at it I know that it will disappear as soon as dawn comes But I see it as a goodnight,never a goodbye The light shining begins to fade I slowly close the drapes It has faded into the sky But I await it the very next night For it is my gateway to your heart I am grateful for this bright joy which shines for me I love my beautiful star heart Xara Mya · Tue Dec 26, 2006 @ 01:31am · 2 Comments
