-flops in exhausted from work- I actually do have people to go to the gym with...lucky me! but I'm too poor to join a gym and too "raargh" after work to be good company
So let me metaphorically crack my knuckles and answer my Gaian friend, hopefully sans misdirected rancor.
RE: the <3 / </3 buttons -- you know what the shyer people can use to express their conflicting and perhaps complicated opinions? The reply button. That's the original button, the one available long before codes existed to make things like buttons and you had to type login: username at the C:>_ prompt. (That's hard to not see as a clown face these days...but it's a C prompt. )
The like/dislike buttons are more than just a lame attempt at being a weak-sauce Facebook, they are a way to kiss or spank the OP, or thread in general. Now, perhaps you have a different proposition for this? Perhaps a windows-logo type 4-panel icon, with double the options of like/dislike?
I've had threads unfairly "graded" with like/dislike, but it does not bother me. If some assy little people cared enough to </3 someone's threads, that means they brought their asses over to do it. And, if someone is an a** all over someone else's thread, I'm really not surprised when the butthurt person returns to downgrade the a**'s threads, fairly or not.
Wow, I'm tireder than I thought. My prose is full of behinds.
Speaking of behinds, nice back! Phweet-whoo! -mock wolf whistle-
