I have no idea what date it is (assuming it's april 1st), just that it is 12:40, 1hr past Greenwich (Greenwhich?w/e) time. Hasn't been very long, but I can't stand not being able to write, (my itouch's OS and gesture programs appear to have died. actualy, it's everything but the OS that's died) so I'm giving up and writing on paper. Here in our German kitchen. Which is nicer than any American ones we've gotten from RCI (which is the travel/condo company we use for most of our trips)
The flight to Charlotte sucked. Luckily, I managed to sleep through it. For once. Charlotte-Douglas had a TCBY (The Country's Best Yoghurt. seriously, it is :d), but we didn't have the time to go crying . Now the international flight was a good deal better. We got free movies, music (eck.), and games. We got a crappy dinner and a strange pastry for breakfast which was awesome. Gods, I'm still buzzed around x.x (i'm reffering to the after-effects of the flight. it gives me muscle spasms and numbs like everything for several hours) I'm just so happy to be here! So yeah, I have a lot to write. Anyways, the German (Frankfurt) airport sucked. It was bloody huge! (real marble and s**t everywhere too!) there was so much more of everything too! And it was really hot in there! Koln may have been getting cold weather, but Frankfurt was not! We did a lot of driving around Mainz (Mie-n-tz) before finally getting there. We walked around a couple blocks of Mai..e (sorry, end of page, i can't read me own vowels xd ), I being frustrated as hell, before deciding it was too cold and going back to the car.
Now I was frustrated because I didn't get my new perscription in-time (not that it would've helped...). And so I read entirely off of memory. I look at a word, see maybe one or two letters, the length of the word, the shape (where there's high and low bits) and my memory inserts the word. Here, my memory can't help. So my horrid sight becomes useless. Then, when I could read words, I couldn't remember what the words meant. Sucked. I did teach my mother and brother how to say they don't speak german at their respective levels, and how to ask for englisch english. Not that Noah was listening.....
We got to see the place my parents were stationed, then the place Noah and I were concieved (thanks dad) and I slept the rest of the ride to our condo. Which is very nice. No way I could afford half it on my own. It's fantastic! I got a chocolat croissant, a danish (oh gods i did not get enough of those!!), a kinder egg (made me happier than it should of >.> wink black cherry jelly, and Johanisberries!!{color=red](currants. like black currant? not popular in the states...) you can buy bloody currants! and black currants! strait!! lol we all got a s**t load of chocolate too XD dad got these pudding cups that I remembered from England and facepalmed. dad hates them (he forgot bout them....) and I don't really like them either but niow I gotta eat 'em so we don't waste our precious Euros.
I just really can't believe how much I love it. Even in the city there's green! and gardens everywhere (like food growing gardens. huge.) It's beautiful and fantastic! I wish we could stay longer......oh well. Any longer and I'd be spoiled with a bed XD It's pretty awesome here. Except I don't get to take showers at 2am, there's no t.v. in englisch, no music, no internet (really, have to go to reception) and no phone. Turns out we got unlimited international texting, but we have to be in the U.S. to send any texts internationally. Ugh. So in come the clouds to shroud out the beauty below. BUT! I'm going to try not to die without my itouch. It'll be hard, but I'll try.
