The day before, on your way home, a piece of paper falls from the sky. You watch it fall for a moment before looking up into the sky to see what looks like a giant pair of dove wings. You look down to the paper that was now on the ground, picking it up you notice it has a few things on it; a picture of what seems to be a almost modern kingdom catches your eye. Examining further you begin to read:
“Dear Adventurer, If you have found this flyer, then you are invited to visit the still living Kingdom of Pormic! We invite people of all species and class. This Kingdom is in the need of brave adventurers or just people who are in the need of a change of scenery. We have low priced Inns that even the average peasant could afford! Tours of the kingdom and castle! You will find out the people who inhabit the kingdom are friendly, and the environment is comfortable! Oh yes, one last thing; you can find high paying quests at the castle. Yes, the King is in need of adventurers to go on grand adventures! The directions are on the back of this paper! Until then, Daivel the Messenger”
When you are done reading, you flip the paper over, not remembering seeing anything on the back when you picked it up. As you stare, the paper them forms a map before your eyes! Seeing that you had nothing planned for the next day, you thought that this could be something to check out.
The kingdom: A castle is placed at the end of a large town. The castle has spiral towers looking as if they would reach up into the sky. The buildings of the town range from old houses to two story stores. In the middle of the town is a large fountain with a statue of a dove at the top, the tips of the doves wings spread out to the east and west, as if it was going to land on the water that was spraying up to it. When looking in the direction of the wings, one would see paths that leads pass some buildings, but pass the buildings are roads that lead out of the kingdom. -West road will take you to the mountains. -East road will take you to the bamboo forest. Before reaching the caste, there is a large red and white rose garden that expands as long as two foot ball fields, paths leading to different places. -The north path in the garden leads to the castle. -The south leads back to the town. -The east path leads to a road with a sign that says, “Road to the Celestial Ruins”. -The West path leads to a good sized park where a lot of people go to get some relaxation or have fun.
In the west: As one leaves the kingdom through the west wing, they see a path that takes them through a large green field. These fields are where farmers live and raise live stock for the kingdom. Continuing on the path you finally see the mountains. The mountains reach up into the clouds and only the strongest make it back from the journey up. Some say there is a large creature that captures the adventurers that travel up to the largest mountain, but with the rumors, not many travel to the mountains.
In the East: A path takes you out to a lush field, flowers blooming year round, but different kinds for every season. The path continues into the Bamboo forest. The cool climate is idea for hot days, but careful not to get lost for the path begins to fork halfway through. Even if you do get lost in this unique forest, you will always find your way out with the help of the spirits that inhabit the holy bamboo. Finally reaching the end of the forest, you will find a natural hot springs.
Path to the Ruins: One will see that this is the only path with an actual sign, “The Celestial Ruins”. Walking down this path you can see where the kingdom is just far enough to put in your hands. The path then moves on to a wooden bridge that is level with large masses of water on both sides; people can already feel the spiritual energy flowing in the air around them. Continuing, one can finally see a large bolder like temple in the distance. Inside this temple is a large room with stairs that lead down to a floor that has 100 white pillar candles lit making a large circle, in the circles is 50 more candles also making a circle, then in the middle of that circles is 20 candles making a circle, in the middle of that circle is a large white candles that has a blue flame. On the walls of the room is names written in what looks like charcoal. Walking to the other end of the room, you find a doorway that leads to a bowl of water with a blue candle places in the middle. A small oak limb is found by the bowl, the end charred from all the fallen names it has written on the walls by travels wishing to honor their fallen friends or family.
