Basic Outline of Rping
The basic outline of Rping is summed up here for quick reference by anyone needing a refresher course.
• [01] When posting use proper grammar. [Character speech is the only exception to this.]
• [02] Use paragraphs. [One liners, or just a few sentences make others frustrated with you, as well as make you look like you can’t write.]
[03] Think your character through fully. [Half thought out is not the way to go.]
• [04] Always follow the basic story line. [Never think up your own in the middle story line and start Rping it, unless you’ve got the go ahead from the Captain of that Rp.]
• [05] Try not to use out of Character Knowledge in Character. [If you have trouble with this. Make notes of what your character does know. To keep yourself from getting confused.]
• [06] Try not to hog the lime light. [If your characters a back ground filler, don’t try to be the hero. People don’t like it when you still their stories, spot light, or try to one up them. Just play the part your character was meant to play. Sometimes that means you have to sit back, others that means you can kick some butt.]
• [07] Don’t argue. [If a Crew member points something out that you’ve done wrong. Don’t argue with them about it. They know the rules better than you since most of the time they made them.]
• [08] Captain is Law. [If the Captain says something, follow it. Its their Rp, their world, their story. Your just in it. If you don’t like it, pack you bags and quit.]
• [09] Opinions don’t mean the world. [Sometimes you’re opinion or idea will be shot down. Don’t get mad and fussy over it. For all you know it could be terrible. Just cuz its sparkly on your side doesn’t mean everyone else will love it.]
• [10] Rules are Everything. [Always follow the rules. Even if they look stupid. Their there for a reason.]
• [11] Think out your next Move. [Think about what your going to post, what reactions that might have, what that make other characters ‘think’ of yours, if its braking any rules, all before you post. If you have any question about it, or feel it might be something that’s not possible, or correct. Ask the Captain, or even any Crew members. Their there to help with that stuff.]
