I sit in the park
Time eludes me
I lay in the grass and wait
Waiting for the world to take me
There is nothing for me here
You lay beside me
My eyes are closed
Your hand takes mine
I open my eyes
Is there something for me here
I look at you
We smile at each other
You sit up and lean over me
The kiss you give means one thing
There may be something for me here
I feel pain
I get up and look away from you
I don't want to get close
It would end badly

I turn to walk away
You catch me by the hand
I look to the ground as you spin me
You put your hand under my chin and raise my head
Your look says there's something for me here
You pull me in close
We embrace and look in each others eyes
We kiss again
And this time I know
There is and always has been
