Poem 1
Nothing stays the same,
everything will change,
you have to understand,
that you deal with what's at hand,
don't worry about what's to come,
or you'll never get things done,
to let yourself be ruled by doubt,
is to never truly know what life's about.
Poem 2
The dark is safer than the light,
you find comfort in the night,
when things get hard,
instead of folding play your card,
you may break or bend,
but in the end,
you'll find the light is what you need,
the sun will give you the strength to proceed,
your flower won't flourish in the dark,
if you can't see you'll never hit the mark.
Poem 3
Tearin me up inside,
nothing left to hide,
all this pain,
drivin me insane,
not sure i know,
where to go,
can't find light,
in the night,
just sittin here,
till you disappear.
Poem 4
How do you hurt me this way,
break my heart every day,
leave me cryin' at my bed,
thoughts racin' in my head,
I know your heart is very warm,
you don't mean to cause me harm,
but with all these things that you say,
it feels like you're tryin' to push me away,

The emptiness of your heart,
The coldness in your eyes,
How easy it is for you to start,
Spreading all your lies,
Poem 6
I'm not your tool,
to use as you please,
I'm not your fool,
to toy with and tease.
I'm not your pet,
to tell what to do,
I'm not your subject,
I'm done with you.
Poem 7
You look at me with fearful eyes
afraid of your truths that you hide.
You look at me with a bitter heart
frozen cold by a tough start.
You look at me with a critical mind
because you've seen people of every kind.
I look at you as the one I love,
the sweetest gift from above.
Poem 8
The demon stands before me
she's confident and strong
and I don't even think to flee
because that would just be wrong.
How can I possibly hide from myself
when no matter where I look I'll always be there
It's not like I can just hide my thoughts away on a high shelf
because they are a burden that I alone must bear.
