Dear Journal,
Okay, today was a very bad day, and it all started last night. Well, I finally got to go to the doctor to see what's up with my stomach. He refers me to a GI and I have an appointment on the 23rd. In the mean time, he's told me to take an antacid, fiber, and he prescribed an anti-depressant for my nerves. (I told him about my job.) Well, on the first night the medicine totally makes me have a fitful sleep... tossing and turning and waking up every hour on the hour with a throbbing headache.) Anyway, that's been a week now, and I still have the fitful sleep, but it's coming down. I haven’t had one of those in a long time! Usually I can sleep through the night and not wake until my alarm sounds the next morning.
Anyway, back to the bad day today... Okay, well, on top of the fitful sleep, my roommate and I are kept awake by banging downstairs and yelling all night! It cools down and then starts back up at 3am. 9.9 Well, I fall back asleep and wake up when my alarm goes off at 6am. Usually I hit it and just lie there with my eyes closed until it goes off again two more times. Well, as soon as I roll over and look at the clock waiting for it to go off for the third time, the power goes out! I get up and knock on my roommate’s door and ask if she's awake because the power just went out. If I had not have been looking at my alarm clock at that instant, I would have never known the power had gone out! Both she and I were livid all day! And then to top it off, more wonderful customers from Verizon Wireless....
1. I have a customer call in and ask why his bill was so high. He thought after the switch everything would remain the same--it did. He had two lines of service and a wireless card, no overages, roaming, or downloads. He then proceeds to tell me he knows it's the wireless card, and that he was conned into it by an Alltel rep, but his son needed it. I'm thinking, "Then why are you complaining?" he says he's going to cancel his service and I'm thinking, Good luck with Alltel's $200 ETF!
2. A lady calls in and immediately asks who can change price plans. I kind of shake my head and roll my eyes, and have to start over after telling her I can. She wants to lower the minutes and save money. Well, we can still change her to Alltel plans, and I begin to go over the lowest one with her. 500 min FS plan, $39.99 for the primary and $20 for the secondary--this lady then proceeds, for sake of an argument, to basically call me a liar! Say how Alltel has never had a plan with a $20 secondary. Never never never. I'm trying to back myself up here and tell her, "Yes! They Do!" She would just not freaking listen! She's all, "It's a lie! It's something Verizon Wireless made up and makes you say or you'll lose your job." I'm like, what the hell?! I wanted so bad to tell her I was not some random person from India with no clue--I was a trained professional here in Texas-- in the USA, damnit! Anyway, I'm arguing with her, and tell her if she's doesn't believe me, then she can go into a store and they can turn the ******** computer around or give her a goddamned pamphlet or something! She said I was lying again and said, again, that it was a list of plans Verizon Wireless made up and forced us to sell or we'd be fired. I tried to tell her the lower the mins, the lower the primary cost and the higher the secondary.
This will go down in my books as the worst ******** call ever! I do not appreciate being called a liar. I am a trained professional in my job and I know damn good and well what I'm talking about! ******** pissed me off major!
God bless me and give me strength....
Tora.
