"Come here meat!" Called one of them from the floor. It was missing most of its skin and one of its hands. Whimpering, i crawled farther into the middle of the pipe. They were far far below me on the gym's shiny wood floor. I looked over at the bleachers, those bright orange bleachers. No way most of them could climb the steep upward incline to the grate and up to the support bars on the ceiling, then monkey bar, or crawl bar, across to me on the pole, and even then, they'd need to risk the 50 foot drop to the ground by leaping across to me. I swallowed. "We wont hurt you little one, we wont hurt you." One rasped. I whimpered again and closed my eyes tightly. Suddenly the pipe that held my 150 pund body began to wane. I shrieked and opened my eyes. Terrified, I seized the support bars above me. SNAP, CRAKLE, POP, EEEEEN, the pipe went out from below my feet. sobbing, I tried despertly to pull my self up over the bar. But I had never been able to do a pull up. Now i wished I hadn't taunted Mr. Zawaki's teaching skills, and actually tried in phyz ed. How long could I hang there? Not long, it was just a matter of time before I fell the fifty some feet to the hord below. And they KNEW it. I tried again to pull my self up over the bar to safety, but again my week upper body failed me. 'Thats it!' i thought happily. 'My upper bodies week because I never use it, but my legs!' I began to swing. My leg caught the bar and I twisted my hands around so that ICould pull myself up and over. As i did so, I realized I smealt blood. I looked at my hands and saw, they bled. "No!" I cried, sobbing. The things below began to go crazy. I tried my hardest to stop the bleeding, it was just a matter of time before the few not half eaten would attack me. Thats when i saw it. The small sun roof just out of my reach. And, the zombies of my teachers and friends malling for the bleachers below. Crying in despair I licked off the blood, tore off the bottom of my pants and wrapped. The things began to crawl up, up, up. I stood, balancing of the thin, 2 inch across bar I began to tightrope walk. I seized the handle to the roof and yanked. Harder and harder i yanked, but it would budge. By now, one of the zombies had made it to the bars and was pulling her self across to the bar i stood on. I waivored, and looked down. Pop! what was that? I thought, looking around. Then i saw them. Men. They came swarming into the gym. I looked at the woman, who was only about ten feet away now. I let out a scream as I started to lose my balance. I sat back down and yanked off my shoes and socks. I walked farther down until I couldn't any more. The woman still prosued, and the men below shot sleeping darts into 20 some zombies malling at the bleachers. The man seized my legs. I screamed again and kicked her off. "Please!" I shrieked in my loudest voice. "I'm not infected! Pl-please help me!" I called, some of the men looked up as I kicked the woman off again. She lunged at me full on and- BAM! a hole appeared in her head, she fell, and fell, and fell... and then she hit the floor. I wiped the blood from my face and arms and looked down.
"Did any of the blood get in your mouth, nose eyes or open cuts?" I shook my head. "No!" I called. "Can you get down?" "I don't know! I've been up here for a day! I haven't slept a-and... I haven't eaten, It took all of my energy just to get up here!" i called back, then, to my horror, I found the bar below me bending, my world spinning. I felt a pinprick of pain and I fell from the bar, to what I found were not men, but those things below. They caught me, and their teeth sprouted and they started to rip me to pieces.
I woke up with a scream. I was sweating quite terribly, and, I found, I was off of my bed, laying on the floor. "Just a nightmare." I told myself, shaking my head. I crawled back onto the bed and looked at the clock. 5:30, the bright red numbers buzzed softly. I looked at the Panther on my ceiling and over at my snoring room mate. He rolled around to face me, his moth ajar and drool streaking down his face. He held the same old teddy bear he always had in his arms. I laughed softly and readjusted my sleeping top and pj bottoms. The alarm would ring in thiry minutes. So, instead of risking another nightmare, I stood up and went for the bathroom in my hotel room like home. I stumbled over my bra and shoes and opened my bathroom door. I closed it behind me and flipped on the light. My face was paler then usual and my eyes had dark rings under them. I sighed and turned on the water to a gentle drizzle. I then washed my face and smoother back my short hair. I had dark brown hair and purple eyes. My eyes changed from brown, to blue to green, and when something bad was going to happen, purple. I shook my head. I was probably just scared. I climbed into the shower and pulled off my Pj bottoms, panties and tank top. I turned on the water at a warm to hot full pound and began to wash my hair. "Why was i always so weak in the nightmare?" I asked my self as I rinsed the soap from my ears. I heard the door open and close, I looked up and saw a shadow moving towards the toilet. I peaked out and Darrle, my roommate smiled at me. "I'm not looking, down worry. Besides, i wouldn't want to." he gestured for me to stop looking at him and I pulled back into the shower. Darrle had been my best friend since we were kids. We went to the same high school together on purpose. He wanted to get away from his parents, and I wanted to check out a new high school that leads into college. My high school, Powell Panther High was a school for the gifted. It taught colledge level everything. And at times that could be difficult. But with this school came no reason to HAVE to go to colledge. I was a Junior. I heard Darrle flush the toilet and I jumped away from the water. "You had the nightmare again, huh?" He said, washing his hands. "What ever do you mean?" I asked, watching his shadow settle on the toilet. "Well, you only wake up an hour and a half before school actually starts when A. you want to work out, because the cheerleaders freak you out, or B. You had the nightmare and you didn't want to risk it." he answered. I chuckled. "Nononono. I uh.. just felt like a shower is all." He laughed back at me. "Liar. You had the nightmare!" "Am I getting that predictable?" I asked, looking at him. He was angrily washing the sink. "Getting?!" he exclaimed, sitting back down. I rolled my eyes and closed the curtain. I shaved my armpits and legs. "Could you hand me a towel, please?" I asked, shutting down the water. I watched his shadow move across the bathroom to the towel rack. Then he launched a folded up green towel over to me. I dried my hair and feet then I wrapped it around me. He smiled at me.
"Mr. Zawaki said you need to do fifteen pull-ups." "Za-waki" I said giggling. "I'm gonna. Don't we have game tonight?" "Yep." Darrle nodded. "I can't wait. James is on the cheerleading team you know." I chuckled. "You and James, and pair matched in heaven." Darrle glared at me. "Its not a laughing matter" He answered, sticking his nose in the air. I laughed again and left him in the bathroom. He followed. "Just watch out. You know, the zombies attack on a game day." I laughed again and started to get dressed. Darrle as you may of noticed, is gay. Technically, he's BI. But he leans almost all the way towards men that most everyone thinks he's full gay.
