Okay, so I'm annoyed. I know it's important to practice your skills in drawing and take criticism and learn from it, but there is a limit. When you express that you disagree with a critic's opinion why do they immediately suspect you are only looking for praise?? It's like ,"Maybe we just don't agree with your opinions OR maybe your opinions just seem off the wall!" I know the artists on gaia must feel the same way. When critics group us into that category that is called STEREOTYPING. Not only is this foolish, but it is also childish.
Today's lesson: If you are going to try and offer helpful criticism please make sure YOUR thoughts are straight. DON'T jump the gun and assume anything. Maybe people have a perfectly good REASON for questioning YOU. Hmm...Maybe this is a reason why people don't like critics?
There. smile I feel better.
