Her face was flat and sad. The man at her arm smiled, and gritted his teeth. "I'm sorry." He mumbeled. she didn't respond. "Having to marry you is bad for me to!" He whispered, they knelt. She glanced upward, towards the royal seet. The man she loved sat in a short chair, next to her father, there was a blade pressed against his throat. She sighed, tears ran down her face. "Do you, prince Evon, Take princess Lola to be your lofully wedded wife? Tohave and to hold, in sickness and in health, in royalty, or in pesant, until death do you part?" "I..." He he looked at his brides face.
2 years earlier...
Her face lay emotionless as she climbed into the carriage. Her father waved good bye, smiling. She smiled back and laughed. "I love you daddy!" She screamed out the window as she rolled away. She fell asleep half way to the camp. When she awoke she was surrounded by that gray snow filled world. She sighed, they led her into the large house, and into her new bedroom. She wandered around, feeling like a prisoner. Finally she came apon a secret room, and walked up the stairs. She stopped, seeing two of the royal gaurd kissing so deeply, she ran back down the stairs, knowing it was against the law for two men to do anything like that. She was jelous, they seemed so in love. She realized her was blushing and ran down the hall, bumping right into a young man, probably no more than a year older or younger than her. "Sorry, milady." He said, turning red. "Its... alright." Her big brown eyes met with his blue ones. His shaggy spiked red hair sprouted around his face like a bush, his pale features spooked her, yet her heart pounded in her heart, trying to break out of her bones and jump into his mouth. She could hear his to. Was it embaressment, or was he feeling the same way about me? she wondered, instead of wondring she planted a kiss right on his lips. She could see him turning bright red, then kissing back, his tongue sliding past hers and tangling around her mouth. She pulled back.
"Sorry." She said, "But now were even." He turned darker red and hurried back down the hall. "Wait!" she called, he stopped. "Whats your name, soldeir?" She asked. "Ping." He answered, then ran away. She smiled, 'Ping. interesting name... he's so beautiful though... his eyes seemed to look right through me, yet right at me.' She ran back to her room. Ping was stationed at her door. She smiled at the two guards he was relieving, and the other one with him. "How are you today, gentlemen?" She asked, mainly looking at ping." "Fine, thankyou." They said, at the same time. "Well, have a wonderful evening." She exclaimed and slipped into her room. Ping couldn't help but let his eyes follow her into the room. His elder guard punched him, and lectured him on keeping his eyes to himself. She knew if they found out about the kiss they'd beat him senseless and yell at him, then they would watch him closly, he was a new soldeir. After her bath she popped her head back out. "hey may I ask you a question?" He asked the young guard, Ping. "Yes ma'am." He said. "How old are you?" "15, ma'am." He answered, she sighed. "Why can't they make princes as cute as you?" She asked, crinckling her nose. "Uh... Ma'am!" The elder guard exclaimed. "I have an open way of speeking, so what, and don't hit him for looking at me, I can defend me self." She said, Ping blushed, the guard glared at him. She grinned and kissed ping on the cheek. "Oh, by the way, i need some help on my aiming, would you help me with that tomorrow, Ping?" He nodded. "As you wish, ma'am." he said, she vanished back into the room, Ping rubbed her spit off of his cheek.
The next day she stood in the courtyard, a smile on her lips, a bow with five arrows poised in her hands. She released, each hit the middle of her target, trying for the center of the center, desperately. She reloaded and hit the lucky on that hit the center right down the middle. "You don't need any help, ma'am." Ping said, laughing. She split that arrow and another. "I know. I just wanted an excuse to see you again. Hows your sword fighting?" "Its alright, at best." She smiled, dropped her bow and arrows and drew her long sword. "prove it." She smirked.
