Adrial was on the bus, almost to her stop. She couldn't wait to get home, and see how her brother's day was. He was trying to be a new person, Eromoto, right? She knew it wouldn't take long until somebody found him out.
"Stop thirty-two. Now stopping at stop thirty-two." The bus driver announced.
Adri raised her arm, and walked up the isle to the front of the bus. She put twenty cents into the money colecter, and the door opened. She walked down the steps, and stood on her street. Her house was less than three others away.
As she started walking down the street, her anticipation grew more and more as she wanted to see her brother, Rudu. Rudu was his nickname since he was four, but hated to be called that now. Adri often did anyways.
She stopped at the door to her house, and searched her pocket for her keys. When she found them, she smiled, and stuck them in the hole. When she stepped inside, it seemed empty. Was Rudu not home? No, he had to be, he said he would be. Mabey he was in his room. He went there when he felt depressed, or angry at something.
First, she went to the coffee tabel by the door, and set her keys, purse, and phone on it. When she turned around, she noticed how quiet it was. It reminded her of that time she read the night before Christmas to her brother. "Not a mouse was stiring." Yha, no mouse, no person, and no I-deck was on, she thought. She left her shoes at the door, and started to quietly walk up the stairs. If he was sleeping, she wouldn't want to wake him. She did that once, and he was so mad.
When she reached the top of the stairs, she stood at his door, wondering if she should open it or not. But she had to know how his day was, how his little experiment worked, even if she got her head chewed off.
She reached for the handle, and held it in her hand for a moment, before pushing it down, and opening the door. She only opened it a little, still not looking in. Then she poked her head in, and saw something. Two things! She opened the door wider, to let in light to see the room better. And, oh did she.
Her little brother. He was in bed, with another guy. Under the sheets.
She bit back tears, and ran to the wall in the hall way.
It's alright, get yourself together! They might just be taking a nap, okay?! She screamed in her mind. She knew she had to stay calm, or she might lose it.
She needed to know though. Was her brother not lying about being that guy's boyfriend?
A tear fell from her eyes, and she wiped it quickly, and stood back up straight. Adri took a deep breath before walking back to the room. She took a hard look at the side of the bed. There was a towel. And clothing. So he did... do it with a guy. He had.
She closed her eyes, but opened them again. But she looked at her brother, and at his face. He seemed... something. It wasn't himself. It wasn't himself recently anyways. He was... happy? Adri went back in the hallway, and sat on the floor, leaning on the wall.
How was her brother, Rudu, happy with that kid? She had tried so long to make him happy! It took her two years to make him smile! Did that kid just do it in a few hours?! That b*****d.
"Adri! What time is it?"
When Adri looked up, she saw Rudu looking down at her, with his towel around his waist. She looked back down, and her arms across her knees. "It's eight." She muttered.
"Oh..." He murmmured. When she looked back at him, he was sitting next to her, legs out in front of himself. "How much did you see?" He finaly asked.
She looked at the door, and it was closed. "Enough. I think."
Rudu's face turned dark red quickly, and he started fumbling with his fingers. "Well- uh... I... Um.."
She smiled at him, and looked at her wrist watch. "It's alright I guess. Please tell me though... Were you happy, in that bed?"
Ru looked at her, and fumbled with his fingers faster. "Well... Um... I mean... and..."
Adri started to cry, tears falling like rain on a drizzly day. "You could just say yes."
"No, you don't understand, Adri!" Rudu cried out.
"I do though. He could make you happy, but I can't. Simple as that!" Adri muttered.
Rudu looked down at his fingers, and they slowed down in fumbling. She knew they only fumbled when he got either really nervous, sad, or embaraced. She bet he was feeling a little of all now.
"You tried, okay? I had to make myself happy, and there was nothing you could do. Everything is fine, okay? Just don't tell Mom or Dad, alright? I have enough problems with them right now." Rudu muttered.
She would tell them. She had to. If she didn't, she wouldn't be able to live with herself, hiding such a thing from them. It was like burning her bed, and not telling them. He would be alright though. They weren't going to kill him. He needed to know that he can't just go around doing that stuff. It's for adults! She was twenty-one, and she didn't do that stuff!
"That stuff isn't for kids, Rudu! Why did you do it?! Tell me why!" Adri commanded.
Rudu looked at her for a moment, then back at his fingers, which stopped compleatly. "I'm not a kid anymore. I stopped being a kid when you enrolled me for the title of king. I stopped... When you ran out on me."
Adri grabbed her brother's arm forcefuly. "That was a long time ago, Rui! I didn't mean it!"
Rui grabbed back his arm, stood, and stomped back into his room. Adri sat there, her arm still where Rudu's was.
She blew it. She made him mad, and now she couldn't make him happy, no matter what she did. All she acomplished by talking to him, was that he was still mad about her leaving. It was an accident! He knew that! Adri stood, and knocked on the door.
"Rudu! Let me in!" She cried.
"Are you so sure you want to come in? Don't you remember what you saw earlier?" Rudu said, and sounded close to the door.
Rudu was right. She didn't want to see him with that kid any more than she needed. She never knew that her brother was so in shape though. Nor that he was... gay. He wasn't gay, was he? He didn't love that kid though, did he? Was he really in love with that little kid?
"Tell me one thing." She commanded from the door. There was no answer. "Do you love him? That kid in there with you?"
There was silence for a moment, and she thought he had just gone back to bed, and locked his door. Then there was an answer. The answer she didn't want to hear.
"Yes, I do." He said.
