if ur really a great artist u wudnt feel threatened by it nd ur customers wont leave u for sum1 else.
a great artist would be all "what a contest where??? gimme the rules so i can enter already!!!!!!!!!" and then they wud invite another artist to compete with them...
then they wud have their own contest. and invite as many ppl as they could
contests create a drive to be better. or to practice. or at least do something new. and if something was new and hard to draw u dnt run from it u practice until u master it
