The crys of the grauds could be heard from down the hall. Kralla looked at her as she stood by the door makeing sure no one was coming. "Arrick please! We must go! Gale's men are coming!" Arrick waved a dismissing hand toward her. "I'm almost done!" He said writing faster. He had to finish his book. He knew it would change the world some day. He just knew it. "Arrick they're coming!" Kralla cried slaming the door. "I'm finished! "Let's go!" He said pushing the book into a bag. "Go where!? We're traped!" Kralla said locking the door. "There is more the on way to get out of this castle my dear." Arrick said waving his hand in fornt of the fire place. It slowly morphed into an entrance to a dark spiral stair case. Kralla stared at it for awhile in awe. "I...I knew you could do magic but I've never seen you..." Suddenly the tip of an axe broke through the door. "Let us go!" Arrick said holding her hand as they desended the stairs. Soon they were outside in the moon-lite forest. Kralla looked back at the only place that she held dear. Her beloved home, in flames. She felt the tears roll down her face. "Come. We are still in danger." Arrick said shareing in her pain, but they had to move forward. "Yes. Let's go..." They began runnig again. The night air was cold snd the strs seemed to glare at them as they ran. They soon came to the brigde high above a raging river. The couple stoped dead in their tracks in the middle of the brigde. "Gale!" Kralla gasped. Standing in fornt of them was a black winged young man with long white hair in dark colored ropes. "Arrick, please, my master wishes to have your book. I do not want to take your life for such a thing." Arrick girned grimly. "Your so kind, but no. You can't ha my book." Arrick turned to Kralla. "run back to the other side. Now." He whispered. "Arrick!" Gale shouted harshly. "Give me the book! I implore you!" Kralla sprinted back to the other said of the brigde. "No!" Arrick shouted back. Gale summoned a gust of wind to blind Arrick and charged forward unsheathing his sword. Arrick smiled and pulled out a ball and the book that he was carrying. "Clever Gale, but I'm still a step ahead of you." And before the sword meet it's target Arrick threw the red glowing ball at the planks abd a smoke screen cover the battle feild. The book was threwn into the air and was caught by a falcon. The bird took off into the night unseen by anyone...
