Okay if you read any of my weekly updates please comment on stuff It's weird but yes i'd like to hear your opinions about stuff that's happened in my life here at university. You could give me advice too if you want. And leaving comments helps me know who reads my journal. Also if you haven't already read the first three entries of this Journal series read the other three.. of course if you don't want to you don't have to.. lol .
Monday
Nothing remotly intresting, or exciting happened today unless you count, me going to Philosophy class and my English class as intresting... which i highly doubt you would. Plus it's sunday and it's been a week so i forget if anything intresting happened.
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Well I'm combining these days because it'll make it easier to explain stuff because what happened on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday are inter connected so here goes.
Tuesday I get my first phone call or any communication from someone outside my immediate family. It ends up being my aunt from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. And so we end up talking for a few hours, I also ended up talking to my cousin Schyler for a bit. We were talking about University stuff and how my parents(mostly my mom actually) are flipping out, because i'm only taking 3 courses this fall and i have no major as well as I don't have a student loan yet and they think i might be wasting my time and money being here this fall. So they got my Aunt to talk to me. So my aunt's all like go talk to the first year service people about all this stuff like registering for classes which as of Septemeber 12th it's too late to register for classes because they all think that i should be taking the 5 courses. and all this stuff. So then we get to Wednesday and so I didn't go to do all this because 1.I knew regardless of what my aunt had told me it was too late. 2. The systems here in Saskatchewan differ from those in Ontario. 3. I could find out the information on my own from the website. 4. I was swamped with homework for the next day. 5. the place closed before i finished my homework.
So my aunt calls back to see if i went. and i tell her i didn't go because of my homework and that by the time i had finished the place had closed. and she was all like "Those are just excuses." and i was like in my head " so you'd rather me fail my current classes to go talk to people about stuff that i already know so in the end i'd only be wasting both their and my time. " Then she went on about how she was going to get mad at me, yet she clearly was getting mad at me by the tone of her voice. So then at about 11:30 Pm CST when my dad got back from work I talk ed to him about it and he was more concerned with wether or not i was a full time student to qualify for my student loan. So my dad was all like go see the Academic Advisor to find out. this information so i'm like yeah whatever I'll do it sometime this week.
So Thursday morning i'm looking through my Student Loan info and find the answer i was looking for. The info said that you have to be taking 60% or more of whatever the normal course load is which here is 15 credit hours. Well if you take 60% of 15 that's 9 and i have 9 credit hours with my three courses. So now i'm a dissapointment to my dad, because i didn't go talk to the Academic Advisor to find this out. So now half my families mad at me because i haven't done what they wanted me to do, but i found out everything they wanted to know, but their still mad at me. You know they're such hypocrites. They tell me they want me to be more responsible, but get mad at me when i don't do stuff. They don't get it that if they want me to be responsible they need to leave me alone and let me do things my way, and at my pace. As much as they think they're helping they're making it worse for me.
Okay so now were at Thursday evening and I'm planning to go out to a movie with my friends because they asked me to go with them okay. We went to see The Longest Yard, the funniest movie i've seen in awhile. So yeah I get back and my Aunt once again called, I checked my messages and she had left one and she was all like "thanks Christina for ignoring my call" blah blah blah "now more people are mad at you" blah blah blah. How in the hell can i ignore a call if i'm not there to answer the phone, so that pissed me off even more. So I'm a dissapointment to my family. Because I prefer to find things out on my own rather than ask people for help or ask others, is that such a bad thing that makes me a dissapointment?? Well you know what whatever if they're going to be that way, then let them. If they can't be satisfied with the fact that I got them the info regardless of how i got it. They're never going to be satisfied with the way i do things. They really never have actually come to think of it. * sigh*
Friday
Hmm... well nothing too exciting, me and my neighbour who's from England talked about different things some political things, other just family culture things, the way we view things, things we've done in the past etc. Then we watched the Director's Cut of King Arthur. Then came back to my room and did what I normally do everyday of my life Roleplay, which by the way i did every day of this week, just didn't bother to mention every time. I also continued to work on a drawing i started on wednsday it's my best yet, so naturally when it's finished i'll post it here on Gaia for all to see, it'll be in the Art Arena, so make sure you go check it out when it's finished(I will be telling you in this journal when i finished it and uploaded it to Gaia, well when it's been approved for Gaia that is.) I'm proud of it. I think i finally go the anatomy part right for the most part anyway, i still have to draw hands, the rest of the skirt and the feet so we'll see with that.
Saturday
hmm.. I roleplayed, like all day, except for when i went down to the cafeteria for my meals, um... I read some more of The Taming of the Shrew put up more posters on my wall, um.. worked on the drawing a bit while roleplaying, and played games on msn with my sister till about 2 in the morning. Yeah i know not the smartest thing.
Sunday
Hm... Roleplayed all day, and basically all night. worked on sketch a bit more, and wrote this. Oh and I also play Online Rpg's while roleplaying here on gaia and do all this. Oh and since about wednesday i started re reading my ~*~ I'm a sailor-what~*~ roleplay, so yeah i've been doing that almost done it too. I wanted to see if i could read it faster than my sister, who's on page 34 now, and so far yes i've read it faster only because i have less things to do at the time because i'm no longer in high school and am in University and really haven't had all that much homework yet whereas she has had a lot of homework. I'm on like page 231 as of 9:11 pm CST today(sunday) so yeah. lol almost done only about 45+ pages to go! Yay for me and that's two days of reading with roleplaying playing RPG's and drawing so really in reality it's only been about a day. So yeah that's my third week here, wasn't the greatest week mind you, but hopefully next week will be better we'll see... Stay tuned.
