Beware of babbling...
<span id="test23094437">. . .</span><br/><div id="post23094437" style="display:none; margin-right:75px;"> I'm officially hooked on the show Monster Quest. =P
This particular episode has me a little obsessed at the moment.
[x]12 years of experience with big cats or not,
I don't think this lady knows what she's talking about.
The cat in that video is NOT a house cat!
Her opinion on the cat in question is that it's a domesticated cat,
because of the way it runs.
But when they show the video of the leopard running later,
notice the stride is almost exactly the same.
I'm not seeing the extra "bounce" that she's talking about.
Maybe what makes the difference is that the leopard is chasing something,
and the unknown cat in the video isn't?
And aside from that, the cat in the video is huge!
Not to mention that tail.
Maybe a house cat could somehow have a tail that long,
but I don't think they can grow quite that big. >_>
Maybe there's a way to solve this.
Somebody take a house cat out into that field, same spot,
and see how big it appears on camera.
I think they have big cats in the UK.
Since they were kept as pets legally a few decades back,
and a ton of people released them there when it became illegal,
it only makes sense.
Cats are smart and very good at staying out of sight.
Even the big ones.
