I have the earring. It's a locket my sister got from a friend she no longer has, so I can do whatever I want to it.
By the way, I've decided that Ryuk is a girl. Just because. Ryuk is a girl, and she wears a skirt and fishnets.
I now have a shirt, skirt (old lady style, dramatically altered, bought at a thrift store for fifty cents), thigh-high fishnets, little girl tights to wear on my arms (because my Ryuk is female, she gets to not have sleeves, meaning arms must be white somehow), a feather boa, more feathers (feathers are expensive!), and SKULLS.
I'm very proud of my skulls. I've made two, and I'll need either one or three more, depending on whether I try to make rings. I made them out of Sculpie, and I'm surprized at how well they turned out. One is to be a belt buckle, painted silver, the other is just a skull for the arm band. I still need to make the cross Ryuk has on his Death Note, but it shouldn't be too hard.
I need my Death Note back. I don't have a Death Note, so to speak, but I have a leatherbound Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (yes I am a nerd, and yes I think this is funny). I need it back from Cass--I mean, "Lady Angelishia", so I can make it a holster thingie like Ryuk's got. And put a skull on it.
I need more chains, and some rings, and tights I can actually wear, like, on my legs. White tights, for people older than ten, are extremely scarce. I even checked at David's Bridal. No luck. Oh, and wings. I need some wings and face paint and hair dye. Pity it isn't Halloween already. DARN IT, I WANT HALLOWEEN!
If anyone has chains, rings, tights (I don't want YOURS! Just tell me where to get some!), or wings, tell me! Nobody reads this, I know, but it's a shot. And if anybody wants to see my skulls, I'm very proud of them.

Oh, and if I find myself once again ostracized by the Death Note posse at the next convention (maybe 'cause I got the gender wrong, hmm?) I will follow Tiffany "TwilightBlood" (avi names are funny) and her D. Gray Man swarm around (Yes, it will be a swarm! We need you, Kanda!) and claim to be an Level III Akuma. I will go "Title: HYPERNESSALLNIGHT!!!" and fight people. I'll get Lenalee to kick me. And if people remind me that I look nothing like a Level III, I will kill Lenalee and be a Level IV, which nobody knows the looks of. (At least they wouldn't if they'd only read the manga, like me; don't know about the anime...)

Actually, I only have a general interest in Death Note, and not an obsession. So there. If Lady Angelishia bothers me again about being Near, I hope you can convince her otherwise. :<
Female!Ryuk sounds fascinating. Good luck with that. =D I can't believe how dedicated you are to cosplaying him/her. Even I'm not that dedicated, haha.
D.Gray-Man swarm, is it? xD I think it'd be fun to cosplay as a D.Gray character, but the outfits are impossible and I look nothing like any of the characters. No, not even Kanda, because I'm too short and ugly to be him. Actually, a Level IV shows up later on in the series, but of course, it's not out in America yet. America's slow like that. Which is why fangirls like you and me must resort to the Internet to look at scanlations. I've never seen one, but I've read descriptions, and apparently a Level IV looks like a...distorted human child (I think? I'll have to read that description again.), which is completely different from the ominously humongous Level III. Kinda creepy.
You're going to Otakon? xD I want to go, but I highly doubt I'll be able to. Lack of money and time, you see.
