Being born and raised in his father's Aekean robot repair shop, Jason always had an deep infatuation with the technology that surrounded him. Due to the hectic nature of the family shop, Jason's father would often leave Jason unattended with the scrap parts from old robots, so he could keep up with business. As Jason grew a bit older, he grew to prefer the nickname Jay, and his inborn curiosity led him to tinkering with with the mass quantity of old parts in order to fix the slew of customer repairs that his father could no longer keep up with; as a result, Jay was brought directly into the family business much sooner than his father had planned.
Two short years had passed and Jay knack for reuse of old parts led him to the discovery of something he could never have expected. He was working on a merchant bot whose drive system had failed, and he had determined that the motor needed replacing; so he was scavenging in the drawers of old parts and came across something an old oscillating motor that he was sure would fit into the merchant bot if he removed the oscillation bar. Sure enough the motor fit, but when the robot sprung to life, it began to violently shake, threatening to break itself apart and cause irreparable damage not only to itself but also the countless expensive machine throughout the shop. Jay dove for cover behind an industrial press and clamped his eyes shut in preparation for the debris he knew would erupt. And all of a sudden the robot ceased shaking, and Jay noticed that he was concentrating on the oscillation dampers on the press behind him. It did not take him long to realize that, without knowing it, he had redirected the vibrations from the motor to the dampers. Suddenly he realized that he could sense the magnitude and direction of the multitude of vibrations emanating from the various running machines around the shop. The power that had lay dormant in him had awakened at the moment he needed it most, and it may just have saved his life and his father's livelihood.
Many years later, and only two weeks after his father's death, Jay took over the robotics shop, but business had dropped off in the intervening years, people didn't bother coming to small family owned repair shops when they could go to the big automated ones. Jay had to find another source of income, since he was barely scraping by, he took to wandering Gaia, using his powers to help him defeat opponents and take on quest to make a little money here and there.

-- VDAR (Vibration Detection, Amplification and Redirection) - This is an innate ability that Jay can use without realizing it. However, when he does actively concentrate towards using it, the powers shift from passive defensive towards much stronger offensive abilities.
-- Gauntlet Charge - Due to the nanomachines in his bloodstream, Jay can charge the power cell in his gauntlet just by his natural body heat. This provides 1/2 charge per post. However, if he uses one post in concentration, he can produce 2 charges at once. The gauntlet works off of a simple the more charges used, the more powerful vibration produced. For example, 1/2 charge would produce vibrations similar to a large cone speaker, and 30 some charges would produce a localized medium earthquake.
