I didn't think I'd ever like any X Factor contestant more than I liked Maria a couple of years back, but Rhydian this year has proved me wrong. At first I thought he was an arrogant, overconfident ponce, but when the live shows started I changed my mind instantly. I was reading today about how upset he was that the editing of the bootcamp episodes made him seem like a laughing stock, and now I feel really strongly about this.

He has got one of the most incredible voices I've ever heard. When he performs in the live shows it becomes so apparent that singing is his passion, and he is a natural performer. Whether he wins the X Factor or not, he's got a lifetime of singing as a career in the bag. If he doesn't, it's injustice on so many levels.

Haha, I must sound like such an obsessive fangirl. He's not even that fit (although he did look rather stunning when he did Westlife in yesterday's show). But, like I said, I've found that I feel really strongly about this. It's a bit odd, since I don't normally feel this strongly about much at all, but I just can't help it. Maybe it's because I've never seen anyone who can convey so much passion for what they do than Rhydian does, or it might just be that incredible set of lungs he's got on him. Either way, he seems like a nice, genuine guy and I sincerely hope he ends up a superstar. Which he will; I'm sure of it.
