Today was a really good day. I love bonfire night!! Because there is many fireworks, and I love fireworks heart heart heart
........some of you won't know what bonfire night is.....because it's an english celebration. So I will give a brief history lesson:
In the....er......stuart times, the government was corrupt and anti-catholic. So some catholic people decided to blow up the houses of parliament. Guy Fawkes was the gun powder man.
Unluckily for them, they got caught.....at least guy fawkes did. And he was senteced to HANGING for treason.
And that is why we watch fireworks, and burn guy fawkes dollie things. To commemerate how the houses of parliament nearly got destroyed.
I think the story behind it all is a bit sad, because guy fawkes wasn't even a conspiritor. He just knew about explosives. Also, the king was evil and deserved to be blown up D<
Anyways.
The fireworks were so pretty blaugh and I can't wait to see more again next year.
After the fireworks finished, charlie phoned to see where I was, I tried to explain and lit many sparklers to advertise by whereabouts.
But then my family decided they wanted to go somewhere else D<
I tries to phone charlie again, but I was wearing my glove/mittens (= <333, by the way) so I wasn't very good at using the phone.
I found my chums in the end. Turns out we'd been standing about 2 metres away from each other for quite a while. In my defense, it was dark and noisy and busy.
Then we saw our english teacher blaugh who is funny. So we spoke to her.
Then we wandered around, and danced, and watched some people do fire poi and whatnot.
We were like, stare we can do that.......sort of.......once.
Charlie and I went to the fair!! 3nodding I was soooooo crowded, and we kept on seeing the faces of people we know from school. Everyone smelt very nice, of dope cool
I got a chocolate apple. We wanted toffee apples, but the last two went to the person infront of us. Ah, chocolate was prolly better for my teeth/braces.
We had some monnies, so decided to go on the walzers. Because we bothe love to spin around. Took aagggggggeeessssss to go on, everyone was so aggressive gonk Eventually, I got on the ride before it'd properly finished and fell over.......but we got a spinny thing at last!!!
When we were spinning around at high speed, I saw ashleigh.
surprised "CHARLIE, LOOK! I'S ASHLEIGH!!!"
So we started madly waving at her each time we went round.
I think the ride people thought we were waving at them......cos they started spinning us lots, really fast.
Which was good.
School was also good today. The day went nice and quickly. I got my first art gcse project thing back, and got an A!!!!
And I also got back my math test and got and A!!!!
And lunch was fun, went to the music room and everyone's all like cool <--this is my new fav smiley.
