Once there was a mother tiger who loved her cubs very much. She loved each and every one of her cubs. She would do anything to protect them and keep them happy. One day she went and started to hunt. It was the best day for hunting the wind was blowing her sent away from the prey so they wouldn’t run away. Also the wind was making such a loud noise her prey didn’t hear her. Things were just going to well. As she was bring back the food for her cubs she heard a great, giant roar that made all the trees shudder all around the forest. Suddenly she heard the roar again and found it was right where she left the cubs. The mother tiger ran as fast as her paws could take her. Suddenly as she came to where her cubs were she saw what was making that sound. It was a giant bear that was going to make a meal out of her cubs. She was so scared for the safety of her cubs she pounced with claws out at the bear without any fear of what was going to happen to her. The tiger surprised the bear but the bear started to claw her so the tiger would get off. The fight became an intense one. But the mother tiger had a reason to fight so she fought out of love for her cubs and drove the bear away. After the battle the mother tiger had scratches all over her body. She felt like she was going to die. She wasn’t scared that she was going to die though because she had no regrets in life and was willing to die for her cubs. But miraculously she didn’t die but instead the scratches became scars and eventually the scars had completely turned into beautiful, black stripes. The story of the mother tiger’s bravely has been passed down and told by all tigers and every one knows this story by heart and soul. This story has been passed down by tigers for such a long time that no one remembers when. All tigers wear stripes in honor of the mother tiger. So if you ever see a tiger make sure you remember the mother tiger is the reason behind such beautiful stripes.
